So i just had a chat to DJI Store online support.
Looks like it is going to be another Mavic. I was hopeful it would be 2 weeks (even though it originally said 1-3 days).


Here is a transcript of the chat.

Me: Good afternoon. I ordered a Phantom 4 Pro and when i ordered it the ETA was 1-3 days, now it is 5-7 days. My order number is ******88902. When do you think it might ship to me here in Australia?

DJI: Hello.

Me: Hello

DJI: Placed it order yestearday, right?

Me: Yes.

DJI: Sorry that can not confirm the shipping date yet.

Me: Do you think November?

DJI: Sorry, can not guarantee on it. Should be around the end of Dec or the beginging of Jan.

Me: The website days 5-7 days, not 5-7 weeks!

DJI: Yes, for the orders placed today. Your order will be shipped earlier than them anyway, but can not make sure the shipping date yet

Me: Ok. Thanks.

Yes .. the P4 pro is another Mavic in the sense that it's a ground  breaking drone far beyond anything available and much better than anything else available.
As such there is going to be a huge demand for it.

Whatever you are hearing from DJI's phone or chat people is highly dubious.
Basing a thread on what you think you got from DJI online chat people is meaningless.
They don't know themselves and will say anything just to get rid of you.
DJI at the time of launch advertised shipping in 1-2 weeks.
We are only halfway through that period and reports that P4 pros are being shipped are coming through.
You might like to make sure you have a solid case before launching your rant.

I predict early 2017
amazon.ca  now shifted their shipping date back as well.

I also predict 2017.  Best Buy shows nothing yet either on P4 Pro, and I'd buy it in their store since I can get another one the same day if buggy.

Heck, I've been waiting for those BT-300 glasses for a year and still nothing in the DJI store, but they've been at all the dealer shows.  Nothing on their own house-brand FPV googles either announced a few months back.

Apple store now shows Mavic for Jan. 24, 2017.  Used to be Dec. 16, then Jan. 16 and now later again.  Who knows?

ya dude were screwed

new egg still shows shipping on 11-25 for P4P+,  and "Eventually" for the Mavic.

Oh My! ....

I get NO response from me emails to online sales and USA sales. I tried to Chat.  No response.  They have the best product but the customer service...Well...It should reach the quality level of the product.  They simply feel: "what should we waste resources on Customer Services when we have more orders then we can handle".  They have a different mind set.
