Hey all,

Just got a Phantom 2 with the H3-3D, Flysight Black Pearl, and some other goodies. I get around almost exclusively on a motorcycle, so I'm looking for an applicable backpack case. I need something that can hold props, batteries, controller, FPV monitor, etc., preferably with some spare space if possible. Ideally, the case should also hold up in the event of a crash, so something with a rigid frame/major impact protection is pretty high priority. Let me know what you guys recommend. I've got a couple I'm eyeballing. One provides lots of space, but a softish shell:

and one provides a rigid hard case and far too little space for goodies:

Thanks in advance for the help y'all!

I have slowly graduated from the white cardboard box with red plastic hand hold, to the DJI branded hardshell backpack, and now moved up to a Plasticase Nanuk 945 hard side case.
neither of those cases you shared are going to protect your drone in a serious crash, so I would suggest you remove that thought from the equation.
I rYde a '13 Can Am SpYder RS-S Roadster, and found the backpack very convenient and quite comfortable to use while in the wind.
Always wanting more room, for a few extra batteries, I now have that luxury and option to carry three more intelligent flight batteries as well as my whole Phantom 3 flight kit. ;-)
I think it would actually protect my investment in the case of a road disaster...

UPDATE:

I ended up getting the Lykus backpack found here: https://www.amazon.com/Resistant ... Lykus/dp/B0191S8IGY

So far, I love it. Lots of space for extra goodies, and even an iPad or small laptop. Drone is held securely by a strap and is snug as a bug. There isn't a ton of padding except on the sides and bottom, so I wouldn't be too rough with it, but it's a nice, convenient package that works well with a motorcycle. The waist strap is especially nice as it keeps the backpack snug, even in 80+ mph winds.
