OK - completed update and flew four flights.  No issues. My aircraft firmware is now 1.10.0090 but my transmitter is 1.8.0  Is this correct or should I load the 1.10.0090 into the transmitter?  I am not getting any warning notifications.. Confused.

No,the RC firmware 1.8.0 is the current latest version.
USB/SD card no longer working to update to your RC.
RC firmware update only now on DJI GO app.

I bought my Phantom 3 Pro back when they first released May 2015. I did ever update that was released.
I didn't have any issues until the last update, "Firmware v1.9.60". It failed every time. Luckily I was able to go back to Firmware v1.8.80.

So now if I try Firmware v1.10.90 and it fails, I can't go back to and older version.
No problem I can just send it to DJI and they will fix it. Yea!! Pay to send it to DJI for 2 month, They fix it at my cost. So I have to go without my drone and pay for a problem they cause!!!

No thanks, I stick with Firmware v1.8.80

Hi. I have a P3P and after the last firmware update (v1.10.90) I received several disconnects of the remote controller (RC) from the P3P when in flight and only a short distance from the RC meaning that RTH was initiated. I solved this problem by re-linking the P3P to the RC using the DJI GO APP.

Also, after the last firmware update I have experienced low voltage warnings (even though still plenty of battery power percentage showing) and had the P3P land automatically on separate occasions with 2 different genuine batteries - luckily I was not flying over water!!. Prior to the firmware update I had never had this problem before.

I have 3 batteries. After looking through the forums I discovered that when you update the aircraft firmware the battery firmware is also updated at the same time - I don't believe I have read anywhere in the P3P documentation where DJI tells you this. I had followed the DJI firmware update instructions and put the update .bin file in the root directory of the memory card and once the aircraft update was completed took the memory card out and deleted the .bin file. This meant that when I subsequently used my other 2 batteries in my P3P they did not have the updated firmware because the .bin update files was not on the memory card anymore. I might add that the DJI GO APP did not warn me that the battery firmware needed to be updated.

I have now updated the firmware in my other two batteries by putting the update .bin file back on the memory card and inserting each of the other batteries into the P3P and turning the drone on for about 10 minutes with the remote controller turned off.

I have not yet had time to fly the P3P to see if the battery low voltage problem has been solved.

Be wary of rushing to update where no added features are being rolled out, or where there are no fixes on the grounds of safety or bugs.  Even more so when you're told that you can't roll it back. DJI are notorious for sneaking in 'features' that piss off their customers who then have no option but to continue using it in the new form. They've done it before, they'll do it again. DJI take the attitude that these are their drones, you should count yourself lucky to be able to fly them. The update isn't for your benefit, it's for theirs.

If your current F/W version works fine, no reason to rush into updating it. You're not gaining anything.  Leave it a few weeks and then, assuming no major problems reported, go ahead if you want to. You're not missing out on anything in the interim, except the risk that your beloved drone isn't quite as good as it once was.

So agree with you...I just not aware about the undowngradable firmware...

Looking at your record , you had quite a few data link losses one of them pretty long "Downlink data connection lost for 28.2 seconds"  can you give any info on these ?

i was flying above myself, while i had my reflectors on my antenna, so the link was lost.. once the drone came lower i took off the reflectors and flew a bit more.... So nothing unusual. Usually when i put my reflectors on i take off, fly some distance away, then gain altitude.. here i did not do it on my way back as i decided to let it rth.. if i recall...

Thanks - I stand corrected.

However with this update at no stage did I receive a message on the DJI GO App to update my other batteries' firmware when I was using the other batteries in the P3P. I seem to remember with a previous firmware update several months ago that I received a prompt re a battery firmware update being needed.

After you attempt to install this firmware, version 1.10.90 and it fails half way through or your P3 doesn't work. What is the next step,? How do you get your drone back in the air?

If anyone is trying to decide weather or not to install this firmware, just read this forum!! There was a post just like this for Firmware v1.9.60 but they removed it because it was so long and made them look bad.

Why hasn't DJI taken down this firmware until they fix the bugs that are ruining our Drones?

(Drone works fine - Download and install Firmware v1.9.60 or Firmware v1.10.90 - you now own a brick.)

Thanks - I stand corrected.

However with this update at no stage did I receive a message on the DJI GO App to update my other batteries' firmware when I was using the other batteries in the P3P. I seem to remember with a previous firmware update several months ago that I received a prompt re a battery firmware update being needed.

I don't think so. How would the Go app know how many other batteries you have? You only get the message "updating firmware" when you insert a battery that still needs it.

downgrade to anyversion you want, easy we do it all the time. open the shell remove the main board, cut glue on internal sd card glued to bottom of main board, throw it away or format it your choice.  we install 8 gig for more flight log storage capacity. Either way with your new or formatted card in and reglued with silicon NOT HOT GLUE, reassemble drone. stick your firmware bin file on a seperate sd card and insert into gimbal. firmware must not be   downloaded from dji, all theirs will ad a + to the version label indicating its modified for altitude limit, no fly zones ect.... search around or contact me and I can possibly help you with an unmodified, non dji molested firmware version of your choice. I have em all.... be sure to do your transmitter and batteries too. well batteries wont matter on downgrade. if you downgrade far enough besure to remove djigo and find a dji pilot app download... questions about the procedure then this aint for you inwhich case contact me lol happy unrestricted flying!!!

I'd like to get some of the older versions of firmware from you.

Had something weird happen yesterday (did not fly today yet). After taking a picture the shutter keeps spinning, cannot take another pic. I exited dji app and came back into it, it recognised phantom p3Pro, and not p3Advanced. In order for it to recognise properly , i had to land, power cycle the drone...
I do not necessarily blame it of the firmware, if anything, perhaps a latest update to the dji GO app? Anyhopw, wondered is anyone has seen anything similar? For the firmware, the file I got to update the advanced was this: P3S_FW_V01.10.0090.bin - I assume that is the correct file for the advanceds.

Yes, the advanced version is P3S_FW_V01.10.0090.bin.

I have updated my P3P and also have the same issue with ipda mini and app showing disconnected at various moments through out the flights after update. I have never had this issue before and i dont get any weak transmission notifications prior to it?!? actually both times it happened i was still able to fly the drone back with out using the go app so i had connection between drone and remote, however the go app greys out and shows disconnected with no image transmission, it then suddenly starts to work again roughly 10 seconds after?

Everything else seems to be functioning fine and as per normal, however it was a bit concerning seeing the disconnected status mid flight at regular intervals.

I will try and relink the remote if this fixed that issue?

Anyone else having connection issues with the tablet and remote? Note i still have good connection with remote and aircraft.

I am certainly all the latest revs on an NVIDIA shield...  I am waiting for temp to come back up.. lately we've been below 10F. Will retry... see if it happens again. In the past similar issues always seemed related to the app update... With the dji go app gave better version than just the "generic" version, without build numbers.. I have noticed google play installs an app update, yet the app version often will not change. Makes comparing notes a bit hard....

If your RC current version is 1.8.0 then try downgrade to 1.6.0 and test it again.

I am goign to test a bit more before I go downgrading..  This was all good tioll very recently, hence my suspicion of GO app update, not firmware.

GOOD NEWS!
I've been away for a week or so - came back today - went through the process of charging all batteries to go flying tomorrow.
If you read my posts in this thread you will see the issues I have encountered.
So, to make the story short, I ran a test after charging the batteries, turned on RC, then Aircraft, then connected the device and I get a notification saying that I need to update my RC firmware.
So, I run the update.
Then I check the GoApp and I see the app also needs an update - so I download.
I turn everything off and everything on again and, finally,  .... I get my version readings on the 'About' tab. YES!!!
It seems DJI has been listening and has removed the bugs on the app.
No, I can see on my screen that I have all the latest versions, 3.1.1 for the GoApp, 1.8.0 for the RC and 1.10.90 for the Aircraft!
This is on my Samsung Tab A (2016).
Then I ran the GoApp update on my LG, tried it, and it's all there as well!
Problem solved.

Thank you Mindy for taking care of this. I am sure you played a part in the process.

Tomorrow if the weather is right I will go for a test flight and shall report back to you.

Did the upgrade tonight on my P3P to 1.10.90..  As some indicated a longer update, but one without any issues.  Tested with RCs I have on 1.8 and 1.6 and with iPhone 6 with DJI Go 3.10 and iPad Mini 2 DJI Go at 3.01 (Always try to keep one set at prior level)  :-)

I haven't tried a flight yet, but did run into one issue with Litchi now.  If I start DJI Go app first (after connection RC and AC), Litchi is blind when I then start it. However, if I start the Litchi App first after a connection I get video and  I can switch readily between the apps. There was some camera upgrades as a part of this upgrade and wondering if it is preventing Litchi from initializing or talking to the camera after DJI Go does?.  This is repeatable on both display devices and both Remotes at the levels I indicated.

Can anyone else with IOS Litchi try what I did?  Again, if I start Litchi first after connecting, I get video and can switch between apps.  If I start DJI Go first, close it, then start Litchi, the video display doesn't work.  Will report to Litchi as well.  Do people with both keep both active??  Always thought it was fly with one or the other, but I saw someone earlier in another thread say he switched between them in flight..

Thanks in advance..

I have not updated the firmware for the apparent problems, and I have checked that the subject of the temperature control of the batteries is not in the firmware, but in the last update of the DJI Go app.
Please: do not control so much and let people run some small risk. I was doing a job on a mountain, and there was no way for the batteries to reach 15º C without those not starting. Please allow to disconnect that element, at the risk of each one.

Updated my P3A on Sunday 12/18. Even though the lights on the drone did not follow protocol during installation the new firmware on the drone and the update on the RC were successful. I flew a short flight thereafter and all systems (drone and camera)  were fine. I flew through Litchi in FPV.

I keep Litchi on my Samsung tablet and DJI on my phone to avoid these problems. I know where you are coming from on this issue and this was the easiest way to overcome them. I fly Litchi 99% of the time.

Thanks.  Something to think about since I also have two devices.  Whatever was causing the black out on Litchi has "mysteriously" cleared up..  I give up trying to figure out how this stuff happens sometimes.  :-)

Litchi specifically says not to have DJI open when flying using the app, it runs into all kinds of errors, i always force kill DJI before flying Litchi, iv tried a few times to have both open and always run into issues, nothing that will kill the quad but things like buttons dont work, camera doesnt respond ect ect.
