And before you ask... No, not to fly them at the same time.

I have a P3-4K and want to test a "used" P3-Advance that my buddy bought online (without contoller) Got it for a good price but doesnt know if it works correctly.


Is it possible to link the Advance to my RC and test it? Before spendng the money and buying a RC.
Been trying and havent had any luck.

The P3 4K's RC is not compatible with the P3 Advance because they do not communicate the same way. The 4K connects to the RC via WiFi while the Advanced and Pro use Lightbridge to connect to the aircraft.

Yes, the P3 4K is essentially a Phantom 3 Standard with a 4K camera. So it makes sense that the connection couldn't be completed successfully.
Perhaps you could borrow the correct RC from someone locally to test it out.
