Does anyone know why the Mavic might have a shaky and wobbly video footage? Latest firmware, etc. etc.

Thanks!

Just made my first flight with the Mavic and... Same problem! The video is sharp but wobbly. Suggestions?

OK, did the following:

- Refreshed (same version) firmware for both the aircraft and controller (BTW: Latest version has two different release dates? Strange!)
- Factory reset for the aircraft (couldn't reset the controller)
- All settings back to default

During flight it seems that the problem has been resolved, however I'll have to review the video to be sure.

Cold weather can effect it, but it should not if your operating within the camera (32°-104°F).

Just reviewed the video's from yesterday, seems reloading the firmware / resetting everything back to factory default did the trick (in my case).

PS DJI-Ken do you know why the latest firmware has been published twice (with two different release dates)?

I got my Mavic last week and had the same Jello issues. Refreshed FW, IMU, Gimbal.  Got RMA today and its on its way to the shop.

It's just jello effect - your shutter speed is too high and vibration in the airframe causes the wavy image.
Reduce your ISO to lowest possible and try a ND filter if it is still an issue.

Aim for a shutter speed of maximum 2x framerate. (e.g. 1/60sec at 30 fps)

I seems to have a gimbal wobble during movement changes (stopping, changing direction etc)

Anyone have seen this or have solution for it?  I tried gimbal calibration and doesn't help.  I just have gone thru the Assistant 2 calibration but sky just gone dark and I have not flown it yet.

Is the gimbal mounted correctly, hanging in its rubber bands? And are all those rubber bands in good shape?

The problem reappeared today... DJI any suggestions?

Wobbly:

Temperature was around 3 C (= 37.4 F), sunny and plenty of light.

I think that is an abrupt stop issue. cinematic mode should help you stop slowly. Because its cold the rubber bands are less flexible and the issue is probably worse. Beware stop slowly = more breaking distance required so don't fly too close to something in this mode.

How can we post an official bug with DJI? I don't want this issue to get lost.

Just received a response from DJI on the RMA: The gimbal and camera are going to be replaced under warranty. Expecting the Mavic to be returned soon and will report if the problems are gone.

Seems, in my case, the wobbly video was caused by a gimbal and / or camera defect...

Received a new * Mavic last week. Seems to have solved the wobbly video issue! :-)

* Different (higher) serial number, can't tell if it's a new one or a refurbished device. It looks brand new so I don't care... ;-)

I had same problem, worst even.
After Mavic update i made a recalibration of the gimble and a video calibration with DJI Assist
All seems fine now, the missing gimble calibration after update maybe was the clue

I eventually crashed the Mavic and sent it in for repair, it seems to work fine now.
