Hi Guys,
I received my new Phantom 2 Vision PLus yesterday and I've flown it 3 times. On the 3rd flight, I lost video signal so landed it manually and found that one of the black ribbons leading from the camera to the gimbal unit had snapped. I was intending on using this on Sunday for a filming project, which clearly isn't going to happen now.

Has anyone else experienced this? I've seen it mentioned a couple of times, but surely wasn't expecting something like to happen less than 24hrs of receiving the device.

Additionally, a couple of the white vibration cushions were torn upon delivery. Needless to say, I'm not all that pleased.

I am sure your local dealer will sell you a new gimbal and camera to get you up and flying again for Sunday.

Sounds like your unit had been flown, and crashed, prior to you receiving it. Did you buy it direct from DJI? Was it supposed to be a new unit? Best of luck with this.

I had the same problem with mine! the ribbon cable snapped and it went out from the whole system, thats just not good from a good brand like DJI

So where do we find the ribbon cable part?  I'd like to order one?  I'd rather try repair than buy a whole new camera

Thanks for the davesmotors link. However they don't show that part in their search. I scrolled thru all dji items.   Any other online locations anyone knows about would be most helpful.  Thanks.

Davesmotors sold out; they had them last week but it was so well advertised I think they sold everything they have in stock until the next shipment.

The real bummer is that the DJI branded ones, that DavesMotors sold where 2 cables for ~$50.  The Ebay ones are much more $$.

I don't know if demand is that high, maybe they only had a few sets to sell ?
I have seen people post on facebook that they bought the cables as a back-up, unfortunately people like that who don't need the cable are denying the ones that do, must be very frustrating if you are trying to get hold of one.

Yes, demand is that high. Lots of owners have been waiting months for these parts to become available at a reasonable price. Be patient, Dave's Motors will get more soon. Most people, including myself have not been willing to pay $85 for a $$20 part.

The liars at DJI customer service in British Columbia said they can't replace the camera cable. But.......they could sell me a new camera for $900.
