Well it seems to be working well on my iPad pro 9.7". I can't see them omitting probably the fastest device in the Apple stable.

My GO 4 stopped working in my Apple iPad Pro 7.9-inch.  According to DJI the latest firmware upgrade is incompatible with the latesy iOS on this unit.  Apple says there is no way to revert to an earlier iOS so I am dead in the water with the iPad until DJI fixes the problem.

Where do DJI say the iPad Pro 9.7 will not work on iOS 11.0.1 and DJI Go 4 ?
I would recommend you try uninstalling DJI Go 4 and then reinstall it.

I’ve flown both my P4 and Mavic with all the latest builds in the past week. And replying to your post via DJI Go 4 App’ without any problems using my iPad Pro 9.7 and iOS 11.0.1.

My iPad is a refurbished iPad Pro 9.7" 32GB WIFI.  Model FLMN2LL/A.  The IOS is ver 11.0.1 (5A402).  I've reloaded GO 4 multiple times already but I did it again from the Apple App store.  I loaded GO 4 ver 4.1.12.
Here's my sequence:
1) Power up Mavic Pro and wait for it to initialize
2) Power up the controller and wait for "Ready to lLy - GPS Mode"
3) Run GO 4 on my iPhone
4) Run GO 4 on my iPad Pro
5) Plug cable into the iPhone and GO 4 connects and I see data and a image from the camers
6) Move plug to iPad and GO 4 says "Disconnected" and never connects

I called DJI Tech Support twice and reached a call center in the Philippines both times.  Both times I was told that the 9.7" iPad Pro running the new IOS is incomparable with the new version of GO 4.  I was told to wait for an update to GO 4.

Everything was working perfectly for a while on the iPad.  I made the mistake of baking up my old iPad and then restoring it to the new iPad Pro, along with 3200 pictures I didn't want.  The only way I could think to get rid of all those pictures without deleting them one at a time with iTunes was to reset the iPad back to factory new and start over.  After fighting with iTunes and ripping the pictures out by the roots using my PC, GO 4 stopped connecting to my iPad.  I assumed I had screwed something up until DJI tech support told me twice that it was an incompatibility problem.

I have very little confidence in overseas call centers, but I have no idea how to reach anyone at DJI that is technically competent.  The fact that I can swap the cable from my iPhone to my iPad and get different results tells me that the Mavic Pro, the controller, and the cable are functioning norlmally.  Just to be sure I've tried using the short mini USB cable that plugs into the side of the controller and a regular USB cable plugged into the bottom of the controller with the same results.   I have a friend with an older 9.7" iPad Pro and he has no problems.  Mine is only a few weeks old from Apple, so maybe that is significant.  I just called Apple support and I am told that there is no difference between my refurbished 7.9" iPad Pro and older units.  I'm stumped.

You mentioned Mavic controller there. Do you connect iPad to full sized USB at the bottom of Mavic controller ? If so, then before you plug it up you must remove to small micro USB connector plugged into the side of the Mavic controller, otherwise the lower full sized socket does not work. I believe it can only drive one of the USB outputs at a time. And there must be a loop or similar in the micro USB plug that goes into the side of the controller to indicate a cable is present there. So try again on Mavic controller with side USB plug removed before connecting lower USB plug from iPad Pro.

Edit:- also check iPad lightning socket for any dust or fluff contamination which may stop lightning connector from making proper contact.

Thanks to all for the help.  I do know not to leave the small cable plugged into the side while using the full-sized USB cable in the bottom.  iPad socket is clean and I can communicate with the PC via USB.  None of this is intermittent.  The results are always the same from day to day - the iPad Pro never connects and the iPhone always does.  I've tried with both types of cables - the full sized USB in the bottom and the mini-USB in the side that came with the Mavic.  As I say, all was fine until I reset the iPad Pro to factory settings and reloaded my pictures and videos.  I think that was when the IOS got upgraded to 11.0.1.  If it weren't for the fact that I've been told twice now by DJI that it is an incompatibility issue with the new GO 4 update I would think I screwed up the iPad somehow.

So, what's all this about? I've been using my newly acquired iPad Pro 9.7 32g with the latest Go4 app for a couple of weeks now. As far as I can tell there are no issues unless I'm missing something. If I recall my Go4 app is 4.1.19..don't hold me to that, I'm not home to check but this iPad Pro is my first iPad. Being a new device to me I had to download Go4 from the app store so I'm sure it's the latest version. Am I truly missing something?

Pro 12.9 wont connect. No live camera feed. But my iPhone 7 Plus sure does. It’s been a nightmare owning a DJI Phantom 4
