4K videos are storage hog, I also thought they took more power than 1080p etc... So I set 1080p. Also my monitor is 1080p.
Tonight I imported recent footages into my laptop... holy ... they are mushy as mosaic.

Then I searched the problem on google and found this video:

Did you guys meet this problem? It doesn't make sense for me: the 4k video is crisp on a 1080p monitor but 1080p vid doesn't, they came from the same camera....

Edit:

Screenshot of the 1080p video today:

It has to do with the bitrate of the 1080p/60fps video and how they process it in the drone.

Currently 2.7k or 4k downsampled to 1080p in post is much better if you want to output at 1080. I shoot in 2.7k most of the time.

Currently 2 ...

Yeah, I was using 60fps and was trying to get `smoother` video. Perhaps that has some negative effect on the vid quality too

At 30fps or less there's nothing wrong with 1080p.
For flying round home and testing no real need to use the higher resolution except it's good to get a nice workflow and experience to process it for video you do one to keep long term.
