As the title says... I would like to order a Mavic and have been looking at them since launch. I've noticed a lot of people have ordered them directly from DJI. Some have received their product and it seems some are still waiting. Realistically what would the wait time be on receiving one if ordered now? I'm on B&H's notification list for when they receive their inventory but that seems pushed back at least though Jan.

If there is such a thing, the average lead time once ordered has been between 7-9 weeks. Some people have been lucky and gotten them sooner and some that were ordered in late September are still waiting.

I was able to get a fly more combo from them. Its being shipped today.
I waited on another supplier with a pre-order since October 15th...

Don't order from DJI at this point. I would try your local Apple stores every few days and keep a look out for smaller online retailers/hobby shops that might be getting shipments.

I scoured Florida and Georgia for a hobby shop/ DJI retailer and the ONLY one i found that could come up with one that was not destined for pre-order was Built Drones....

Back to pre-order status though admittedly I did not contact them directly.

Give them a call.
I called them like 3 times in two weeks and got my order placed.
Its in the UPS truck scheduled to be delivered today.

You can have one the next day if you order from the right Ebay seller.

I have been reading good things about ordering through Apple but who knows at this point.

Hi RVM, It would appear that short supply on the Mavic will continue for awhile longer.  7-9 weeks seems to be the forecast so far.  You might get lucky as a local BestBuy store or Apple store  

Did you ever sell your Inspire1 ?

order through apple! i placed order past sunday, and is scheduled to be delivered this friday.

I've been waiting for 8 weeks and I still don't know anything about it... The truth is that it seems to get faster but you'll probably get it in February... Good luck!

Did you ever sell your Inspire1 ?

Sold it about a month and a half ago. I didn't plan on picking up another one due to the photo / video shoots that I do but it would be nice to be able to throw this in my camera bag with all my lenses.

Apple had the estimate at late January when i placed my order on 11/23. I just got conformation that its shipping an will be delivered on 12/09. SO it took a little of 2 weeks. I say place your order on apple and wait 2-3 weeks.

yup thats what it said when i placed my order on sunday. got an email yesterday that its shipped and will be here friday.

If apple charges your credit card, then you know they have it in stock, and will ship out in a day or two.

Order from Apple online. I know the website says 7-8 weeks. I ordered 11/27 and had it ship this morning.

Thanks all. Looks like Apple is the way to go.
