Hi.

I posted my first topic here, and wonder if we can connect to the linux filesystem of our drones.
Why (question from Friffy1) ?
Well,
- first to know if it's possible...
- to know if the root login is password protected or not...
I know Parrot bebop drones are NOT protected, anyone with some knowledge can connect, erase the file system (crashing the drone)
- to have access to logs, interresting files...
- why not, think of some addons !

Using those tools is quite easy :
  1. ssh <ipaddress> -l username
  2. telnet <ipaddress> <port number>
Copy the code
Finding the ipaddress is not a problem. Username should be root. Portnumber default is 23 but it might be different.

Has anybody tried ?
I should receive my Pantom 2 V+ on saturday or next monday - of course , I 'll try this among other things !

I know the range extender is binding to the phantom so when you connect via wifi you are actually connecting to the extender. Here is the info for root into the extender but be careful with the settings as it may cause adverse effects.

Extender IP should be 192.168.1.2
Username: root
Password: 19881209

I do not know if the update to the wifi extender changed the password. I have logged in and poked around a little to see if there was anything that looked like it needed to be tweaked. To me it looks like most settings are ideal for performance so there was no real need to change anything. Please USE CAUTION when changing anything. I don't want 20 threads about how they changed the extender and now something doesn't work

Received my drone yesterday. Today, I tried the ssh connection.
As windows does not know ssh command, and as I do not really use this Os, I switched back to Linux after calibrations were done.
(No problem with windows drivers)

Because my local network uses 192.168.1.1 as gateway, I had to disconect it first.
Of course, no need to connect the usb cable, we are using ethernet protocol.
My desktop has a wifi receiver.

The network is generated by the Dji drone, not by the repeater.
So, the drone must be powered.

ssh 192.168.1.1 root
or
ssh 192.168.1.2 root
Give an answer, but they request a password, and 19881209 does not work  :
permission denied
I also tried my linux root password, my account password ...
permission denied

I have so much to discover with this new copter : I'll try to ssh it later.
Again, first, just to be curious, knowing this is possible.
