Hi all. Now that the pilot app is officially available for ios, I will be investing in an Ipad. Does anyone know if the mini 3 works with very little lag or should I opt for the Ipad air 2?

The only difference between those two is the display size. I have air2, sometimes the size is bothering me.
I ordered a mini2 retina to my brother for the camera, will try it too

Both work well. At that point it's all about personal preference.

I have an Air 2. Works perfect and I couldnt be happier

I bought an iPad mini 2 and it's been working out wonderfully so far. more manageable size when on the controller in my opinion and the interface is plenty large to handle things.

The reason I bought an iPad mini 2 vs. 3 is because it saved me about $150 picking up a (lightly used) 64GB mini 2 on Craigslist. The only thing they added for the mini 3 was the thumb lock button and personally I decided that wasn't worth the big price difference.

Do the Ipad air's need have service? I bought an Ipad 4th generation, but Apple will not download the app, as it says the appp will not work. Now I looked a little bit closer, and the app says it only works on "cellular Ipad airs." Before I run out and buy an Ipad air, would the 4th genration Ipad work if I turned it on?
