AllState does not offer a policy I just checked.

Allstate still does not cover. Contacted State Farm and should have an active policy Monday.

Got mine insured for $60 at statefarm. I crashed it into the ocean and they sent me a check for $999.00 within 5 days. Totally worth it.

I insured mine through my house insurance. Same Sort of deal $6 a month full replacement, loss or damage

Has anyone insured their drone through a different company? I tried insuring the Mavic, Macbook and DSLR and they declined me insurance due to a claim back in 2014 for theft/burglury (rental car was broken into, most of the loss was my roommates new laptop but we're both on the policy - homeowners). They don't seem willing to budge unless I insure my car through them which is $80 more per month vs Geico.

I insure my home and vehicles with State Farm.  Called my agent Friday and added my Mavic Pro Platinum Fly More combo for $28/year.

I have my homeowner's policy via State Farm and was just quoted around $43 annually for $3000 worth of coverage for my drone and camera equip, no deductible. Seems like a no-brainer.

Just called my multi use policy with Ameca and they said that would be part of my homeowners policy for loss of goods..yea and I would have a deductible of $2550 !! Need to call Statefarm and check it out.

What was the policy called, loss of goods or property or what ?

Called my local agent in Texas will post findings.  

If she cannot figure it out there were several others on the spread sheet nice list by the way.

Yes Statefarm in Rockwall , Texas does cover my Mavic. I will post my findings when I receive the quote.  I mentioned UAV as someone mention but yes Ny300z is correct PAP. That's cool has to be a lot cheaper than paying DJI for a repair, specially when it's their software glitch that takes your Mavic down.

I have my Mavic & P4P insured with State Farm for a total of $ 2,650 USD, actually when I got the P4P I went in to get it insured like I did the Mavic. Bought a separate policy for the P4P, a week later they sent me a letter saying that there was no need for the additional policy, both drones insured under the same policy for the same rate of $ 75 USD ( Florida ) with a refund check for $75 for the additional policy I paid for the P4P.
Gotta give them credit for honesty !

That is true, they use to cover smartphones for a super cheap rate with no deductible, like $15/yr or something ridiculous.  They dropped covering them a few years ago, probably because of too many claims.

Avoid adding it to your Homeowner policy. One loss or damage claim will put your homeowner policy in jeopardy. Your 2nd claim can cause your homeowner policy to be non-renewed. Save your homeowner insurance for your home against major damages.

The State Farm separate policy is a good policy for those lucky enough that live in states that offer it.

Mine is not on homeowners policy, i only have a personal articles policy.

I have no other policies with State Farm at all.  I only have a personal articles policy. Its 34.00 per year now

Did this require you to have the original purchase receipt? I'm buying a new sealed box Mavic from someone who got it as a gift but doesn't have the original receipt.... I sure hope not.

No, you don't have to have the purchase receipt to get insured through State Farm.

For those having issues, ask for a Personal Articles Policy.  You can cover stuff from jewerly to camera gear to firearms.  There isn't a specific spot for drones but mine is under the Miscellaneous Articles section.

I just did that today here in Oregon. I figured it was under Cameras. $60 a year. I also listed my other DJI cameras.

I'm trying to get in touch with a Statefarm agent here in Missouri to get insurance for the Mavic. They were supposed to send me an email with the required info to set the insurance policy but they've forgotten to send that email over (I tried calling during my lunch break but since I was at work, I didn't have the drone's S/N on me. I'm wondering what other pieces of info I need to have on hand). Can any of you folks tell me what sort of info I would need to provide to get a policy for it? Thanks!

Update -- they did it in UT. $60, full coverage, no deductible. I had to provide a bill of sale as it was used (which you should get if you buy a used aircraft anyhow). FYI, DJI will not honor warrantees unless you buy from an official seller -- so this is a good thing to have.

You can’t beat this I’ll be giving them a call tomorrow. Who needs a refresh program with the policy like this.

My local State Farm rep said $30/year to cover damage/loss.  I am waiting on the paperwork.

   I got $1000 coverage for $50 a year in New Jersey with ZERO deductible from State Farm. I was told by my agent, that my State Farm Homeowners Policy would cover me if the drone caused an injury to a person or caused any property damage.

All insurance is regional. The reason you’re seeing different rates is based on the cost of living in an area. When I moved from Louisiana to New Jersey, my auto rates were ten times as much. Ten Times for the same coverage. So $60, $30, $75 all sound reasonable. I look forward to finding out what it will be here in NJ.

Like other posters, I also have State Farm personal property insurance, in my case for a Spark. What is far more important I think is liability insurance. I confirmed that it is included in my homeowners policy for recreational flying. While there is an exclusion for "aircraft," there is an exclusion to this exclusion for model aircraft as follows:

EXCLUSION: bodily injury or property damage arising out of the ownership, maintenance, use, loading, or unloading of:
(1) An aircraft.  This exclusion does not apply to the ownership, maintenance, use, loading, or unloading of unmanned aircraft systems used as model aircraft:  (a) solely for recreational or hobby purposes; (b) designed to be operated within the visual line of sight of the operator and operated within the visual line of sight of the operator; and (c) weighing not more than 55 pounds at the time of operation; unless the ownership, maintenance, use, loading, or unloading of such aircraft results in: (a) property damage to any aircraft; or (b) bodily injury or property damage resulting from interference with an aircraft carrying people regardless of whether the bodily injury or property damage is sustained by people or property on the aircraft or not.   

I also have liability insurance through AMA.

I use Billy Slesk. She is in Dupont but can still take care of you.I pay $37 for $1700 coverage with zero deductible. Im covered even if it eneds up in the ocean. DJI doesn't even do that.

I've had my P4P, MP insured under State Farm since last July, minimum policy is $75 p/year, Daytona area. 100% coverage no deductible. Just added my MA and the price jumped to $80 p/year ($ 3,500 replacement within policy period). I have my P3P insured through Travers Aviation for Part 107 work. $1Mil Liability/$100,000 property damage/$10,000 Personal Injury/ $1250 Hull Collision, Loss - $633 p/year.
