With a gentle breeze this afternoon, and near perfect afternoon temperatures, I took my P3S back out to the Gabe Zimmerman Trailhead after work. Instead of flying from the parking lot, I hiked about 1/4 - 1/3 mile up the Arizona National Scenic Trail, to the ridge where the trail drops down into the Cienega Creek Preserve. I still have the mode set to "Beginner," keeping the 30 meter distance and altitude restriction, but from my starting location, I had part of the creek ravine to stretch my developing flying skills with terrain obstacles and areas below my starting location. I recorded video from take-off through landing, and tried out the new download of Windows Movie Maker to edit down some 18 minutes of video to about 3'30" or so.


Not nearly as breathtaking as many of the videos posted over here, but we all have to start somewhere.
