Yesterday I got a crash on the Mavic, lucky I got the case on that didn't break the gimbal .
I pressed take off on the screen after it does take off for a few second(around 1 -2 m) then every motors suddenly shut down and the drone dropped to the ground....
On the app it said IMU error

Did you calibrate the IMU or check its status before take off?

Yes I did. everything normal and I calibrate compress before I flew my drone

Don't fly with the gimbal cover on.. It cuts the air to flow inside of the drone, which cools the components on board. I don't know but the heat might have caused a conflict for IMU maybe.

Don't listen to the advice above, the gimbal cover can be left on during flying and I recommend that for starting out because of situations just like yours, you saved the camera. That wouldn't have caused the IMU issue and the heating issue would only be a potential threat over the total life of the drone. They even list in the manual it is fine to fly with it on, you'd want it off for better camera images though. There is a slit in it that does allow airflow so it's not completely cutting that off.

That's not the case. If you look at the cover it has an opening to allow airflow.

Just as trance said. You can fly with the gimbal cover.
Do you get any error message now?
It's better to send it in for further evaluation.

Did you accidentally issue the "Motor Stop" command by pulling the sticks inwards lower corners then outwards lower corners quickly?
