Hi Everyone, Can someone tell me if when buying a new battery for the Mavic pro do we need to update the battery with the latest firmware? I read somewhere that the batteries also need to be updated. Can someone confirm this. Thanks in advance!

Yes you do, a message will apear on your screen that says "inconsistent firmware detected" its really quick though, i cant imagine there is a whole lot in a battery update.

It's all done through the DJI Go app though so dont worry .. it can be done out in the field.

If the battery needs an update you will be notified through the app.

I bought two extra batteries recently and connected each in turn to update the firmware but wasn't prompted. I am guessing some firmware updates do not always apply to the batteries?
The reason I ask is that there was a firmware update for the Mavic fairly recently that I applied and I can't imagine shops or even the factory updating batteries once they are packaged ready to go out.

Please could you confirm.

same with me. i never saw any battery update messsge.  
I will have my first flight tomorrow with the new app and firmware and im nervous after reading all the issues.
for me so far i had no issues.  

You will get an inconsistent firmware message and slide to update...

Where can i check the New battery Firmware?

Same here connected my 2 new batteries and no firmware update message
