only when I have it going fast it will always have a compass error. and only in sport mode. when I slow down it goes away. im pretty sure it has something to do with high rpm of motors. should I put it back to old firmware or just know it is due to interference of the motors rpm.
thoughts???

This new firmware has a much more safer compass switch strategy~ Can avoid the TBEs ~

But concerning the compass wants to switch as soon as forward momentum is gained .. and constantly flashes RED.. it's rather off putting and worrying

Hi! Unfortunately this can also happen during RTH! If aircraft reaches top speed of 20 mph in RTH P-mode it gets interference on compass 1 and switches to compass 2! Is it safe to RTH with one compass only???

Has more come of this yet...  I need to know if it's fixable or if I need to send my craft to dji

no I never did screen shot it. it would be red and say compass error. I will stop or slow down and the it goes away and it goes back to green gps mode. is this why people are having problem with rth too?

If the warning message is Compass redundancy switch, then you don't need to worry about it.

Yeah and also follows with the red bar at the top

I have same problem, I was using my mavic yesterday and this message was going in and out on my screen, I did calibrate my compass at least 5 times but that did not help at all ......

any input from DJI ?? I really need to know if this is a firmware problem or a hardware problem

Did this solve the problem by switching ? Because I am having that problem too where in sport mode it will tell me to recalibrate the compass and all. I think I might just call and have mine replaced too

Well I sent mine back.

Dji repair centre is repairing/replacing the compass board ..
So seems there is an issue with people getting this problem

Before the firmware update there was discussion about people being told it was a cable routeing issue and required a warranty repair. If this is the case the firmware is simply a workaround for the hardware fault but DJI have not clarified this or issued any kind of recall.

Has anyone had their Mavic fixed so that this error goes away even when driving the battery at full drain? That would confirm it is fixable.

As stated above , dji found a issue with mine. So there must be a hardware issue ..

same problem here.

sports mode, shortly after reaching max speed (was not windy at the time), the yellow compass redundancy error came folow by the red error bar at the top.

DJI please explain if this is a hardware issue or software?

Did they charge you for it ? Because they are quoting me $138. My mavic was fine. All I want is the sports mode to be fixed

I'm having the same problem. Is everyone sending theirs back for repair?

I have not been on forums in a bit but now I am curious if I should send mine in??
