Any of you have any experience with birds attacking or getting very close to your drone?  I did earlier today and I was concerned that the bird would get hurt if it touched the propellors.  I would imagine there would be many drone related bird injuries/fatalities.  This guy wasn't injured.

yep. video above me being chased. I wasn't in sports mode, but I was flying away fast as i could

As soon as I take off, my mavic attracts sea gulls. I have to go above 120m to avoid them.
I guess they are attracted by the ultra sound sensors and the black bird look^^

Very interesting as geography must play into this. I've flown around seagulls, condors, hawks, crows and all kinds of other birds and none of them had any interest in my mavic. Sometimes the condors would circle around me just to take a look, then they fly away calmly. The seagulls act like it doesn't even exist. I do avoid flying too close to trees, since they usually harbor nests. If you get too close to a nest, any bird will attack you even if it means their death.

The only encounters I've ever had was 5 years ago flying FPV with the Zephyr wing. I got into a literal dogfight with 2 hawks which turned out some very interesting footage.

Ravens tend to come and check out the drone but have not have had any close calls. Also had an eagle do a second look yesterday, again nothing close.

Yes, the birds like the Mavic and sometimes they come close to my Inspire 1. Seagulls  are very curious too...

Just stay clear or land when they are bothered by the drone noise....

That's a cool shot!

Just remember to CLIMB in SPORT MODE.  You'll outclimb any bird very quickly.

Hi Flame boy, no I don't think so.. really not sure how, these crows are smart buggers. I really don't want to hurt and wildlife with my blades
