Why would I use Litchi app vs GO by DJI?

It has other features that the GO app doesn't. Most people get it for creating more advanced waypoint missions.

Well worth it if you need the features.  If you want to get high-quality video and then it's well worth it. There's really no way to smoothly pan and operate the gimbal unless you use something like Litchi.

That's a bit of an exaggeration, I can fly and control my video perfectly smooth. If you know how to set your drone up properly and have a gentle hand you can control it better than Litchi.

I agree that it can be done.  What Litchi brings to the table is repeat ability while allowing for minor corrections in the sections that need it.

Litchi is an excellent app.  The waypoints and the ability to plan and repeat a route is excellent.  It allows you to fine tune your videos.  I've also found it does some pretty amazing things when you are shifting between waypoints and POIs where it takes quite a bit of dexterity and practice, it can get in a single pass...

It is great if you planned route with like static objects and you can plan.  It doesn't help with the spontaneous stuff.

IMO, 25 bucks well spent.
