hey guys, I am quite new to the Mavic but I remember a couple of weeks ago I could find menu entries for "hardware decoding" and "focus peaking" in the general settings menu of the DJI Go 4 app. Now they re gone. Maybe I disabled some "advanced options" switch somewhere or why can't I find this anymore?

For IOS the Hardware Decoding is in General Settings (the 2nd option)
And Focus Peaking Threshold is the very next option under Hardware Decoding.

well this is android and I know the options were listed exactly where my screenshot is showing. I wonder if I am in some mode that doesn t allow me to see it...

Is there anywhere a person can find out what some of these functions actually do? Like focus peaking threshold? I realize the manual may cover some items but i am not seeing a good manual on say the new DJI Go 4 app. Where can we find an explanation of these options..

Hardware decoding, focus peaking are iOS only right now.  

I'm guessing AR route with tapfly and being able to alter Cinematic Mode settings is only iOS, too.  I don't see how to get into those options on the Mavic.  I see on the P4P+ on the side.

Thanks, basically Focus Peaking peaks at high contrast part of the image and highlights them.
But again, Google can way better explain it.

so if I understand you guys correctly they removed focus peaking and hardware decoding in the latest versions of the Android app. This seems so random to me that they would remove those features just after I got my Mavic shipped and getting ready to fly. ;-) weird coincidence but I'm relieved I don't have to blame myself ;-) let's hope they bring it back soon.

This is getting highly annoying when half of the forum is talking about features the other half doesn't even have. Well probably not half but it's not cool.

I am a new user and I am also disappointed that features others are using are not available to myself ? why does the android version of the DJI go4 App not have  focus peak settings and hardware decoding


it should be the same features for all platforms ????
