I have been reading with interest the threads here in the forum, and one thing that concerns me is people who have been losing their drones due to fly aways, malfunctions etc.  Does anyone have suggestions for independant tracking devices that can be attached to your drone so that in the event of a malfunction or fly away you can simply turn something on to locate your drone?  Sort of like the "find my phone" app on an iphone, or a tracking dot used to find lost keys etc

Many thanks for your help

I just ordered the Marco Polo.    Anyone recommend the best way to mount this on a P2V+?

Either strap it to the landing gear with zip ties (or some other type of ties) or attach a platform like this to your landing gear and strap it to that:

Even if you use a tracker do not forget the cheap backup. Sticker with name, phone number and reward offered.

One of our UK forum guys has used a TK102 for around 3 years without issue http://uavforums.uk/index.php?topic=10.0

Only £20 -£25 and you can buy them from Amazon in the UK here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Realtime ... 95P1VB5J5010814PQDF

You'll also need a pay-as-you-go sim card or similar
