I might be a newb but for whatever reason everytime i start up the drone and controller its not reverting to my prefered settings when you turn everything off and go back in do you have to change the shooting seettings everytime?

Unlike earlier Phantoms, the P4pro saves most but not all camera settings between flights.
Perhaps DJI will fix this in a future firmware update.

I can confirm some settings always revert back to original when you turn it off.

It would be tremendous if DJI decided to retain ALL shooting settings between flights.  Please consider my vote!

YES or at least save settings to revert back to them faster

+1 it should keep the last settings. Sometime even changing fly mode seems to change camera settings. Also if you have used the gentle control settings it then switch back to the normal....

Aren't the gentle control changes only affecting the tripod mode?

It's wired perhap they will fix it in the future

Not sure, according to this it seems not:

According to DJI support on the EXP settings screen I should be able to switch to 'Gentle' mode, and those settings are not linked to tripod mode (supposedly), they take effect when you switch to them on that screen.

Also from my quick test I had the impression that it was in use in all modes but sports. Unfortunately today the wind is at >80 km/h so no test possible.

I also had this problem but after updating my remote's firmware on 1/5/16 the problem is no longer. However, notice how close the back arrow is to the highest, largest screen size as I accidentally touched it when backing out therefor setting the screen size.

i'm confused,  does the remote firmware update separately from the craft?   i'm on the pro+ and only see one firmware update button in the menu.  Or do I actually have to plug the craft in to update?

Yes, the remote firmware update on the P4P+ is separate from the craft. To update the firmware in the craft use DJI Assistant 2 on your PC and using the supplied USB cable plug craft into PC. Good luck.

same here Kingston, had to do it all over again today, this is getting old.

Same here.  I'm a photographer who's a newbie to drone photography but am totally flummoxed by the way most (but not all) of my settings for still photos and movies are changed to default every time I switch off the machine, or change an autoflying mode.  This is ridiculous!  It seems almost as if the P4P+ has been designed to maximize the flying experience while not giving a hoot about the camera.

I might have the same problem - my stick setting always revert to Mode 2 after the last update. Since day 1 I used mode 3 without problems. after the last update that setting keeps changing reverting after power off

Any ideas?
