How good is the X5S stock lens? And, what is the best alternative approved starter lens?

The stock lens is the same one that comes with the X5/X5R. If you have had the Inspire 1 with either of those cameras before, then that would give you a general idea. Another popular lens I've noticed other customers use is the Olympus 12mm or 12-25mm lens.

I us the Olympus the Olympus 12mm on my X5R and get brilliant results both video and stills see attach shot with the 12mm.
