Hi,

Automatic Exposure Bracketing in three photos mode is severely broken and totally useless. First photo is normally exposed, second is overexposed (but should be underexposed by 0.7EV according to the user manual and EXIF data), third photo is significantly overexposed (but should be overexposed by 0.7EV, according to the user manual and EXIF data). Another thing - in every of three photos EXIF data exposure time is the same, but should not be (and certainly wasn't). Latest firmware used (as of 6th of Jan 2017).

Here are the AEB 3 photos taken by Phantom 4 Pro.

Example AEB 3 photos taken by Phantom 3 Pro. All correctly made - second is underexposed by 0.7EV, third overexposed by 0.7EV. In EXIF data exposure times are different, corresponding with EV bias (both informations are present in EXIF).

When I shoot jpg everything is as it should be in AEB.

I'm shooting raw, of course I don't see any sense to use P4Pro with JPG only.

Lots of people do that.

I can see a good reason to shoot jpg.
I shoot fast moving subjects and have to shoot multiple shots.
If I waited for raw files to be written I wouldn't get much at all.
And when I'm shooting huge panoramas, I wouldn't be able to do much again if I had to wait.
But it's no problem because the P4pro takes excellent jpg files - much better than everyone assumes.
My clients love them and everyone assumes I must be shooting raw.

You're right, but spherical panorama is somewhat different. The most important thing about spherical panorama is huge dynamic range of the entire scene. When shooting panorama you will often have full sun in one part and deep shades in other, and you need to take photos with the same exposure settings to avoid visible lighting and tone differences when stitching panorama. This is very challenging and in many cases the only solution is to use all the sensor dynamic range, and this is possible only in RAW mode. Often shooting single RAWs is not enough, and you have to use AEB to cover whole dynamic range of panorama.

It doesn't matter that it works in JPG. I only shoot RAW because I like the increased flexibility it gives me in editing. The fact is AEB is not working when shooting RAW and it needs to be fixed. A 20 mp camera that supports RAW is why I bought this UAV.
