I had this bag i bought before i buy the new I2. okay its cheap but taking the DJI provided box is not always possible especially if your climbing a mountain. maybe a short term solution until the hard cases arrive in the shops

Not a bad idea and I am sure that it would fit okay.  The weight of the Inspire 2 is  going to be much harder to climb with   but wow,  once you are on top it will be perfect!

Surprisingly, the numbers aren't too far off:  Inspire 1 with X5R is 3.45 kg, with a TB48 battery. The I2 with an X5S is about 3.95 kg. That's about a pound more only. The I2's batteries / unit time are actually lighter so for about 40 minutes of flying you need to carry an extra 2 TB51's* which is 1.1kg more vs. 2 more TB 48s which is 1.32 kg. The remotes weigh about the same. So the net difference is around 200gms - The differential is less if you want more flight time.

What would be nice would be an optional Mavic style controller that one can use an smartphone with. This rig won't let you view the FPV cam but it will be lighter and a quicker set up. I don't see this happening too soon as the customer base for such a controller would be pretty small. I don't see many people taking an I2 up a mountain but its clearly feasible.
* Corrected TB 50

I bought an APP from the Apple APP store I have used it for many things and find it very useful to label things in my workshop.

I made one for my I1, Phantom 3A and now I2.

Mostly contact details and a web page link that offer a reward to return if my own tracker doesn't work.

I even have one on the dogs ID collar as well

Now a days everyone knows a QR code when they see one and in fact when i was out with my !2 today one guy was busy scanning it.

I re-purposed a North Face backpack by building a wooden frame for the Inspire 2 to sit in..  Haven't used it yet.  Just as soon as this rain stops I have a mountain ridge in mind though
