DJI are really over priced pieces of garbage
Certainly not worth $3099 AUD.
The customer service is a complete joke and their quality control is non existent.
Try to get a refund out of these people...it's the blood from a stone story.
i have had 4 replacement drones sent to me.
The first was a recycled drone...that was still damaged and dji tried to pass it off as 100% brand new for the drone that had a 3 in 1 board issue.
The replacement was cracked and dirty and the screen had a dirty big scratch.

The replacement for that came with major firmware issues and 3 months later i still don't have a fully functioning drone.

They would not refund my money so i cut them a deal to send a phantom 4 pro plus after i had reported them to fair trading Australia.
Atleast they were brand new and i would not receive a broken and used drone .
They agreed and yet i still don't have a flying drone.
You would have to be kidding me???

The replacement for the replacements replacement arrived today and yep.. you guessed it ... i have firmware issues and the dji go 4 app keeps crashing right out of the box.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Sorry to hear of you issues.      I don't agree with you statement that DJI are complete rubbish and not worth you hard earned money.  I'm sure there are lots of users enjoying their DJI products with out any issues.  I've had only good experience with the Phantom.  I did have a problem with one of my batteries however I think it was due to me doing a firmware upgrade with a flat battery.  Took it back to the retailer and got it swiped over straight away.  Have had no problems since.

I've had my Phantom 3 Pro for over 1 1/2 years , never encountered any problems before or after firmware updates.
Not experienced any negative issues or anomalies during the many of my numerous flights. So I can vouch for them not all being problematic.

Not sure where you bought your drone but at that price you got majorly ripped, especially if you didn't originally buy a P4P+ but somehow you ended up with one.

And just out of curiosity, what is your experience with drones?

If DJI really was as bad as you say they wouldn't be in business.  
But they are and have a more than 70% market share.  
How do you explain that?

That is the price in Australia in Australian dollars.
Everyone else has to pay more than the US buyers.

I don't think that's an honest statement. I'm not sure he even owns a P4P. More than a frustrated customer asking for help in the forum, looks like just trying to trash DJI products.

I presume you mean NSW Fair Trading? What did they say?

There are plenty of Aussy online stores advertising them at (AUD) $2200 P4P and $2700 P4P+. Not the major retailers but plenty out there.

hmm... sucks when people have such bad experience.. thankfully 99.9% of us have good experience...

You have firmware issues, or maybe you just don't know how to load the firmware, read the instructions and stop throwing your toys out of the pram..

i Own a Dji phantom 4 pro plus and i'm telling the absolute truth and no im not trying to trash  DJI . I've asked for help and each one of my drones has had major issues. Seriously i got better things to do with my day than make up stories like that.

I'd appreciate you keeping your dim witted assumptions to yourself.

Yes Absolutely.... there were plenty of places selling them cheaper. That was the price on the DJI website at the time.

The have a good marketing team and really know how to reel people in.
The perfect example of this was with the entire mavic pro debacle.

GoPro Karma was the ultimate victim of a clever marketing team. but How Long was did it take DJI to deliver on the Mavic Pro? That was a horrible joke!

Most important thing when buying a DJI drone:

NEVER buy from DJI!

Buy from Amazon!
No headache with stupid repair service, no issues with customer service.
Just send it back and you get your money back.

I wished my my p4p+'s worked as well it.

Best Advice given on here.

I purchased from Amazon a week ago. Have had four flights. Great so far. Until saturday. We will see how this all plays out but it may be going back.

My question: who makes a compatible drone?  All the others I've seen use wifi for video downlink.

Fair Trading did go on to investigate the matter and i got a coupon for a new p4p+ also they happened to mention DJI were collecting gst  and were not passing it on to the Australian Government at that particular time.

i Really wish i was in that 00.1% I just done the latest update and now my Remote Control wont work...thanks DJI.  It asks you sign sign into your Dji account but it for some reason it says
init map error : MISSING_LIBRARIES

The Last update that dji done proves  my point. DJI ARE JUST TERRIBLE!

The Remote Control is showing WiFi as connected but the Go App doesn't see it.  I was attempting to correct an issue where maps are not loading.  Init map error : MISSING_LIBRARIES .

Sorry to hear! There's nothing out there comparable yet, but when there is, the drones will only get better
