I've had my AC for a year but still consider myself a beginner, Damn near the entire East coast of Florida is restricted and the few spots that aren't are either Miami Dade recreational, Florida State parks or private golf courses. All of which prohibit drones.

I saw many videos on YouTube of pilots chasing cruise ships after leaving the terminals. They take of from the South Beach. Is that legal?
I have flown out of South Pointe Park many times. That is where you can film the cruise ships. However, you will encounter the ire of police if you fly in other parts of South Beach or the City of Miami Beach.

Those videos are cool but I have no idea if it is legal.
Pembroke Pines, FL....Still looking for a free place to fly. My whole coast is restricted. Doesn't help that i live between a hospital (with a helipad) and an airport.
Sadly, most of the southeast coast is restricted due to the airports. You have to drive really far to get to anywhere outside of an airport. Most of the time, airport towers here don't even pick up the phone or don't know who is responsible to allow you to fly.
