Just a quick video to show show stable the Mavic was in a high wind. I still had good control, a little bit of an angle on the gimbal at times and a jerk here or there to edit out but it handled it very well.

Great footage. The Mavis doesn't seem to have much problems with the wind. Some horizon adjustment only.

Yes it seems to handle wind okay,
You get initial wind warning and then a more serious second wind warning (I guess at a more critical wind strength - unsure does anyone know?)

This was the first flight I had major tilt, I was pushing it though at speed in high wind.

How does the phantom compare with tilted horizon at high speed?
Does this still occur?

Are you sure that there was 24mph windspeed? Because of the surface of the water and the size of the kite i don't think so.
How do you measure the speed? I had my mavic out in 28mph and it couldnt go against the wind without sportmode. But nice footage dude.

Bought the mavic 90% for kite surfing filming...hoping that it can handle the wind.

I agree that does not look like 24kn, rather below 20.

To be honest my wind speeds were varying but at the top end were showing 20knots/29-30k/19-24mph

Low end was sitting at 15knots which kite surfer agreed was around the minimum he needed to get lift, he also agreed the top end was only maxing at 20knots

I had no real way to gauge other than the weather maps, I had it is sports the whole time, was a worrying flight at first.

Fascinating to watch.
