Does the Phantom need to be stored upright?

I've got a great hard case for my Phantom and accessories, but it's pretty large.  To save space, I could turn the case on it's side, (which would of course turn the aircraft on it's side as well.)  Is it bad to store the aircraft like this?  I'm assuming it makes no difference, but I just don't want to damage any sensors or gyroscopes by storing it like this.

Thanks for the advice.

No, it does not need to be stored upright.

Seeing that you're storing, it's probably a good idea to be certain you remove the battery from the aircraft.

I store my Phantom 3 Pro' in the Nanuk 945 sitting upright. I could also stand up the case, but why? ;-)
