I perform the required pre-flight: calibrate the compass and calibrate the IMU. when I try to set the Home Point, I get the warning: home point not set?

What am I doing wrong?
Another question is the compass values.After I calibrate the compass Xand Y values are -81 and 300. I did read somewhere these values should be in the 300 range?

The home point does not set until you start the motors. The app gives an audible advisory that the home point has been set.
