I'm looking for a minimalistic case for my controller and/or for the mavic.

Slightly worried throwing them in my backpack without anything holding them in place, espcially the controller with the joysticks. But aslo the arms/props/motors with nothing holding it in place...

Anything that form-fits or just fits the devices? Separtaely was my thinking...

My wife bought this one for me for xmas Nanuk 920 case. Its really a great case and small enough for me to toss around in our vehicles without worrying about any damage to the precious cargo.

The official shoulder bag is not bad at all as long as you don't want to carry a tablet in the same bag. I don't use it as I need extra room for other things. In terms of the props etc. I have used both a double sided velcro strap cut to length and also a camera bag strap to hold it all tight in place. Someone in the forums suggested the Orca Tactical M.O.L.L.E. Water Bottle Pouch . I purchased it a few weeks ago and used it recently on my trip to Mexico. I was able to just throw the bag in my backpack. It can store the drone + an extra battery OR a charger in the main compartment. The smaller compartment fits the controller perfectly but I'd suggest getting an arm strap AND the joystick attachment used for transporting the controller so they don't get mashed down. It should cost like $4-5. I'll link once I get on a computer.

I have the Case Logic Kontrast Action-Cam Case. It's made for GoPro cameras, but it's perfect for the Mavic.

It's a tight fit, but it holds the Mavic, the remote, and one extra battery. It also has little pockets for spare cables, SD cards, and propellers. I've even got my landing gear in one of the pockets.

My only quibble is that it doesn't come with a strap. My mom had an extra one from a camera bag that she gave me.

I bought a pelican 1400 and it fits pretty well. I still have some open space to be claimed as you can see in the picture but it fits the drone and controller comfortable. I had the 1300 at the same time but I was not able to fit everything without enough spacing between components to prevent them from touching each other. I am shooting for compact as well because I travel alot with the drone.

THIS one fits tight, has lots of padding, and is discrete.  You'll need a stick protector for the R/C, however, since the fit is so tight.
