Few questions I would love to hear feedback on.
Has anyone been able to get the steering function to be more responsive when in "smoothtracking" mode?

I have my pan and tilt set  to:

100   0  100
100   2  100

But for some reason it seems dramatically slower when I am operating then what I get from the test speeds.

It may be related that you are not using the Tx.
Please, try with the Tx on.
You have one mode switch and one speed switch, with the speed switch you set max. speed of smoothtrack.
Also you could set the three position swith speeds in control settings.

Thank you for the reply.

I did set the Tx's three speed options on the switch.
I set the switch positions as such:
100
50
30

and still seems a bit laggy compared to having someone steer with the joysticks on the tx.


I'll have to post a video of what I am seeing to better illustrate  the lack of motion I am getting in the smoothtrack mode.

Matthew, now I understand what you are saying.
But that lag is related that smoothtrack also has to correct the small motion of the handheld system.
With a bit of practice you could overcame that lag.

Yeah, after a lot of practice I finally figured out how to react with the correction lag. But I really think DJI should release a single thumb stick to control pan and tilt for single operators.

I just ordered a third party one I'll let you all know how it is.

Great!, waiting to know how it works.

If you are wanting less lag then turn down the deadband. I run the ronin at 0% deadband, 50% speed, and 0% acceleration.
