I just want to get and indication on when DJI plans (if they are going) to introduce an upgraded/compatible or equivalent alternative to the Z30 & XT Cameras for the Inspire 2.

Any feedback appreciated.

I think they maybe will release a accessory to be compatible.

No word on new camera versions - an adapter from I1 to I2 mount is highly unlikely.
The marketing has the I2 specifically restricted to the two cam at launch.

At this stage I would not be making any investment decisions assuming that there will be any change to current state.

An adapter from I1 to I2 mount couldn't happen on a I1 the camera processing is in the camera on the I2 it is in the airframe.

So any adapter would need to include that processing - therefore won't happen anytime soon.

Is there any way to contact DJI to ask about this?
