Why does mavic shows red flashing during the flights ?

My status shows all normal.
I had calibrated Gimbal, compass, VPS from my DJI Assistant 2 app.
And also had calibrated the drone itself by moving it 360 degree hor and vert both.

Manual says, red flashing means, IMU needs calibration.
Where is IMU calibration option ?

I did not find it.

So, is thats the reason or something else, why the flights always keep on showing random times red flashing lights ?

Can the near airport be a reason, as I was flying almost adjacent to the airport wall.

If the calibration was not successful you need to turn it off and repeat the process. Mind that this has to be done on a perfectly flat surface, and that placing it on the ground might lead to errors as the vibrations of your steps/other persons steps can affect the calibration.

The closer you come to the invisible fence surrounding the airport the more you will see the rear light blink red.   

Are you talking about the flashing lights on the ends of the front arms? Or the single light on the back. You said "flashing lights" (plural).

When the manual talks about status lights, it's always talking about the single light on the back end. Else, during flight, it will be green.

The lights on the front arms flash red, for visibility, because it is an aircraft. There is a way to disable those, but I recommend leaving them on, unless you are filming at night (which is why they can be shut off). The back light will always be on.

If you ARE talking about the rear light flashing red, then it means something else.

Can you post a screenshot or the message you are seeing.
If it's asking you to calibrate the VPS sensors then that is done from the computer with the Assistant2.This is from the P4 but pretty much the same thing.

It still shows flashing red during some mid flights.
Dont know why.

I think it is definitely because near to NFZ. The same is happening to me if I'm near NFZ I'm getting this blink pattern - 3 time double green fast and 2 times red slow. When I move to another place - not near NFZ I'm getting only green flash.

On page 12 of the MP manual the blink patterns of the status light are explained. Could be that not all patterns are in the manuals, but someone from DJI can explain that...

The red flashing thing from the manual still confuses me.   Slow flash...low batt.  Fast flash...critical batt.  Just flashing?  WTH?   Is there a medium flashing?   Geez.

I saw this pattern in my MP too and was wondering what that means because in the manual there is not explanation for this case

I forgot to mention that I fly 4 - 5 km away from an airport and always get the NFZ notification. That could be the reasson. Anyway it´d be nice to get an official confirmation as in the manual there is no explanation of this case

I agree with you, it is not clear.
I have simplified it for myself: Whenever my Mavic shows a red butt, there is something wrong.
I guess that the DJI engineers had a traffic light in mind, when they chose the light's colors for the Mavic's rear...

Funny thing is when I opened chat with support they were not able answer this blink pattern at all so we are not the only one who do not know what it means (we actually does as I tested it more times and it has really connection with near NFZ)
