I had a strange issue. All of a sudden my photos started looking kind of bleached, less saturated, no sharpness etc. Also it switched to JPEG. Then i came back and realized i had custom settings for my video like -1, -3, -2.

My question does video style settings affect pictures, photos? Any idea what could have happened?

i believe style setting is THE SAME for both video and video, just like being in manual or auto mode. These settings are global, not "per function".

Bummer....so we need to switch sytles between video and photo? I am a professional photographer and new to videos. I woukd like to know the common practice among the pros in this group.

agreed, this seems a bit.. illogical.. but then again, if u r a pro, u should shoot raw, and raw, I believe, is NOT affected by style.... I've tried using raw, but i simply had no patience or time to process the photos.

If your a pro you'd be shooting in DNG so the picture profiles won't apply, so don't worry about it.
