Gimbal Cannot Receive Main Controller Data

Today I took the mavic out and flew for 3 batteries, when I changed the 4th battery the gimbal seems to be responging very slow and not respond to any of my controls form the controller and ipad, any ideas? Thanks!

And I also tried using wifi to control it, still no gimbal movement, every other controls are fine, it just doesn't allow me to move the gimbal

Here is a screenshot of the startup warning I got, sometimes it appears and sometimes doesn't, but no matter appearing or not the gimbal is not responsive

Refreshing the firmware doesn't work, the gimbal went through initial calibration just fine, just doesn't listen to any input, and it lags when self stabilizing

Did you try the other 3 batteries again? Did they worked?

I emailed the dji support, here's what I put in the email, just a list of things I found/tried


1. It will not respond to my input from the controller and app,
2. Restarts don't work,
3. It lags a little bit when self stabilizing, and and sometimes automatically points to upper left corner,
4. It happened after I changed a battery,
5. The gimbal initializing completes just fine after start up,
6. Calibrating IMU doesn't work,
7. Gimbal auto calibration cannot initiate,
8. Refreshing firmware doesn't work,
9. Both controller and aircraft are V01.03.0200,
10. Controller calibration doesn't work,
11. The gimbal position indicator doesn't move while attempting to move the gimbal,
12. Controlling through wifi doesn't work
13. Sometimes the app will have a "Gimbal cannot receive main controller data" error, sometimes says gimbal status normal, but in both cases the problem persists.

having the same problems - even the compass calibration is not working :-(
It´s a brand new P4P and haven´t been up in the air once - everything look good until i updated the Software/Firmware for the battery/power management.
DJI is not responding and that sucks !!! Payed that much money for something i can not use :-(

Problem Solved! I opened it up and disconnect/reconnect the gimbal, and it worked again!

That's good I would just take it easy on a few flights and see if it works out

was your FCSN also missing in the DJI Go 4 App?
Does anyone else having same problems like i do -> see screenshots

Also the clips at the front of the top cover is a little bit tricky, if you are not confident with your skills, don't force it open. For those who still wants to take it apart, I will see if I can draw a diagram of the clips

Went to an airsoft game today, got some action on the drone, just check it with a new battery, everything is fine so far
