Hello crashed my New Phantom 4 pro into some trees!! Totally my fault, up until then the Pro was a great machine.

My question is after looking at these picture do you think the Drone is worth repairing? The motors still work. It's starts up fine.
If repairable what would I be looking at cost wise?
if not tlrepairable is the bits worth anything ??

Thanks.

Whew!  How flightworthy it would be after that much damage would be a gamble.  Heck, presuming all the components still worked, Just transferring everything to a new shell would be an effort!  But who knows, if a new body is all it takes to get it into the air it might be worth a shot (but no way is that camera going to work!)

Check ebay to see what used P4 parts are going for.

Send it in to DJI for a quote, the P4P parts are still hard to get hold of for DIY and they don't charge too much for new cases anyway.   I guess it will cost less than you expect...

Wow! Yeah it took a shot for sure. Replacing the shell isn't too bad if you are willing to tackle it, and I see your in the UK, but in the US I can buy both halves, landing gear and screws for around $60. Might cost more to send it to DJI, but at least they could test everything to make sure it works properly.

Doesn't look like you can test the camera!

Probably the expensive bit will be replacing the gimbal and it's motors, the gimbal motors seem to get damaged easily as they have to be very lightweight so are not very strong.  The gimbal isn't something you can DIY easily even if you could get P4P parts for it.  It will cost a few 100 including their time, but will certainly be a lot less than a new aircraft.

Sound advise. I woulnt go down the DIY route anayway. Will definitely send it in. Do I need them to send me a shipping sticker ?

Putting on a new shell should be easy enough, you will need to buy a whole new gimbal. You can fix it yourself for around $500.

Maybe you could use DJI Care if you have it.
