Dear all.

I'm new around this neck-o-the woods. I have downloaded my DAT.files from my Phantom 3 standard but now find I cannot read them, (all in gobbly-gouk in words and notepad). Please tell me what I need to have / download / or to do in order to see my information about flight log on PC ?

thank you in advance ;)

Hi,

I use Healthy Drones.  I just upload the .txt flight records and get all sorts of useful information, graphic, etc.  For example, one thing that I have noted is that while the iOS 3.1.2 app on my iPhone is constantly (or nearly) nattering on about bad signals, etc., the actual sensor information as presented by the logs shows no issues (just backing up what many others have commented on).

DJI have encrypted your data because they seem to believe that you are not entitled to the data you have generated with a product you have paid for. Good luck with that.

By visiting http:/: www.healthydrones.com and http://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/Upload/ you can get a very decent analysis of your flight LOG.

Please post a link, to them files, so others can view and give their input.

No, it's totally readable. you just have to use the right site to uploaded to or the needed software on you computer.

Both sites that "RedHotPoker" gave you are very good to read the files (flight logs) on your device. Now you said .DAT files, are your talking about the ones in the drone itself ?  Than there's different sites for them.

Yes, but I 'believe' the DAT files are something that only DJI can understand and decipher.

But the LOG files can also be very revealing. Even explaining your flight battery behaviour.

It simply means 'data', and the content is not specific.

Go to this page, it explains some. The flight logs within the drone's storage have a .dat extension.

Hook up your device (cell or tablet) to your computer and go to this site, the Instructions are right there.

No, this has nothing to do with the DJI site, or DJI themselves. It's a way to share your flight logs with other members. Same as Healthy Drones would be. Afterwards you can post a link here for others to view or comment on.

You could use CsvView/Datcon to view and analyze the .DAT file. It's free. To obtain it go to https://datfile.net/index.html

The .DAT filed are stored on the drone. You access via USB connection from the drone to your PC. There is a setting somewhere in the DJI GO app to begin the process. I use CsvView/Datcon to read them.

Thank you. This was very helpful for me in viewing the P4P AC DAT file after having deleted the Go4 app from my device and with it the flight records.
