I have experienced pixelated video and screen freeze anomalies while using a Nexus 9 tablet with both apps. I have used my Samsung Galaxy 6 as an alternative and it is working reliably. Is there any special settings that I must use with the tablet to get IT to work reliably?
Yes, normally, go into the HD settings and tap the "Custom" settings. Look for a stable channel and choose it. Set the bitrate Mbps to the lowest setting, then fly and see how it goes. Report back on how it goes.
i assume the video on card is fine only the live feed is garbled. in this case, i would try to make sure there is extra storage on the tablet and that only the DJI app is running. idea being to make system resources available to the app. there is a video cache that the app requires, make sure there is room on storage for that.
