Hey team, a lesson I learnt with my (ex-) wife is when to leave a conversation. I'm thinking that's now.

So, WindSoul, you will note that on some threads people (and their comments) do disappear. The moderators are doing their job, but there is a fine line which they must walk when determining whether the forum code of conduct has been breached. A tough gig, but then we are supposed to be adults up here (hey, my daughter could never afford one of these beasties).

usually they erase the message. i suggested that the thread owner should be allowed to erase messages in his own thread, that way the one who asked the question retains only what he considers as useful answers. deaf years.

Sorry, but can't agree with that. It allows the thread owner to effectively re-write history, and sometimes the individual voicing an alternate opinion may be correct, and not the thread owner.
The role of the moderator is just that - to moderate. They are impartial, but with the authority to step in when the forum rules are breached. Leverage the moderator if someone is using inappropriate words, but if the someone is just disagreeing with what you're saying, then that's another thing.

You're looking for that safe space bubble again.   It doesn't exist in real life or the internet.

question was never how many speak it, but how many understand. then you can call it language.
you definitely should do that(is not a mad COU thing, right?), unless your blood type is k-zero, case in which only 50 of your mates are alive on this planet. not even the google algorithm will be able to translate blood transfusion for you.

We don't do blood transfusions.  We also don't have vegetarians.

We also do live sacrifices. When visiting friends check your weapons in at the door. Blood transfusions are not required for those about to die.

is a simple thing here: if I a start a thread i will retain the answers i can understand and capitalize on. they dont have to be the best or most complete answers in existence. they dont have to come from the god of drones. not even from the guru. they have to be just good enough for me.

i had answers sending me to the books. correct, short and garbage.
i had answers also correct, which made me feel guilty for owning a drone. garbage.
i had as answers questions about my education, school, language, whereabouts. garbage
i had people diverting the thread with their own questions. garbage

if i could filter all that garbage out, not only that the garbage contributors will stop polluting the threads, but also people with my level of understanding would get the answer. is that simple.

then i go to your thread, if i like the way you manage it ill definitely look again. if not, we simply part ways. how about that for civilized?

I'm sorry, I must have overlooked the sign-up sheet. Would somebody please send me an application to become an amigo?  I mean, my whole life, I've dreamed of becoming one. Up until now, I thought it wasn't even possible since there were only three. Hey, I can be a wild and crazy guy, too, right? Shoot, Imma fill that application out as soon as it comes. I hope I can pass the test for flying amigos--I've heard they ask a lot of questions about whether or knots. Geebax, AlecW, somebody, send me application form. I promise I'll keep it under 400 words, or 400 feet, whichever comes first.

Keep Smiling,

Augustus

Well I thought I will jump in here to!,this is quite amusing, after all this posting on this ridiculous subject, If you are that bothered with all this why don't you just say who you think is provocative and ill-mannered?
The people that you are talking about haven't said or done anything wrong.
I to have read over a lot of your posts to, as others have and can't make sense of most of them either, but this doesn't bother me one bit. So I think all this is a bit over the top, I expect this from my children, not here.

Agree, but it's true that some of these threads can become quite silly. At the very least, it can be entertaining to sit back and watch the salvos start...

Regardless, the reality is that some people's advice can be 'fake news' or 'alternate facts', and the trick is to correct those informatively and unemotionally. But that assumes that the answer is out there... And we all know that solar flares are causing the 'limp gimbal' problem, so we just need to wait for the next solar eclipse to get a clean video done.

Aloha Punchbuggy,

Well, Bob Dole has the New Viagra for those solar flare-ups.  No more limp gimbals!

*post edited by mod for offensive content* . Probably a Moderator.  Hot P, you and your buddies are kinda bully like.  WS, you are like the science nerd who always gets picked on.
WS, Sometimes your responses are as blotted as the DJIGO4  app and you ask for it. Hot  P  and gang. you guys are like the kids who wait for WS to
leave class so you can pick on him..
Me...I'm no angel either but I know when to keep my mouth shut.
The plus is.....everyone loves a good fight and you guy's are a lot of fun to watch...
There is too much compaction here and sometimes it shows.
RTFM is a great example of how to start a fight.
Some day your mom or grandmother is going to buy a drone. and some day she might come here for advice....
Would you treat your mum like you treat each other ???

Odan, I'm not surprised that you point a crooked finger. It's easy to put the responsibility on to others.
Just remember, when you point a finger, four are pointing back at yourself.

Would you kindly PM me or post a link or several, of where you think I'm off line? I'd love to see those, so I can refresh my memory. I'm normally in a great mood. Try to behave, and be amiable.

Also, who are my guilty & merry band of gypsies?  I have over a hundred friends here, are they all on your list of abusers?

You need to go back a few threads, and see that I have been nothing but fair to Windsoul. So I don't understand your problem. Perhaps you are having a bad day, or woke up on the wrong side of the bed, in the wet spot? ;-)
What's up with the abbreviated names? Spit it out, big fella...

If you have a serious beef with me, lets barbecue that bull.

But thanks for sharing, it's refreshing to see you come out of your shell. Gentle man.

Opravdu teď? Manuál je mexická Bandito!

I've seen posts here that were written in French, Spanish and a couple of other languages. It's a multicultural society of drone enthusiasts. Being Bilingual is a good thing.
Yes, English is certainly the predominant language of the known universe, particularly on our tiny spinning globe. But to have the ability to converse in a foreign tongue is a great privilege.
Mrs.Trump is presently fluent in five different languages, that's a smart persons ability.
But I get where you're coming from. It's easier when everyone can easily read and understand the prose. And cons? ;-)

I hope the wind has died down, and the rain stopped, allowing you to go fly...

Well, the OP was a little stingy when it came to the "torch" appropriation.    I've not tested it however I'm lead to believe that it's only been used once (to test) and never crashed hard.

Terrible sorry but I ate the cake, you can't send open food internationally with USPS.  I did sneak some sprinckles in the box.

DJI is generally pretty quick with banning people or removing offensive posts - you should be here when a new product launches!  Honestly WindSoul I think there may be a communication issue at play.  You posted just the other day in a way that had no punctuation or commas or periods, it was really hard to understand what you were saying.  It almost seemed like Spam.  I think maybe some people have fun with that?  Some of your ideas are funny and people may have fun with that.  When you advise someone that the reason their drone may have crashed is because someone else may have linked a 2nd remote to their drone and operated it simultaneously along with them, then intentionally crashed it - your going to get some funny responses.
