Turn off auto update in the Google Play Store.
EDIT: Your right, just tryed to open the Go app, I'm on version 3.0.1 and you get a pop-up that can't be closed or bypassed demanding the app be updated!!!!!!!!!


And I have auto updated turned off.

It seems to work  now

My last flight was 4 days ago and now....you are right! It's impossible (for now) to use dji go without upgrade!

Got the same problem wants to download before it will continue. I don't trust updates pushed down by DJI period. All I've seen since mid December is that DJI uses it's customers as unwilling beta testers.

How did you get it to work?  I get the box demanding an update even though my auto update in play store if off.  It won't give me access to v2.9.1 on my phone.

thats some bs. I finally got the Kinks out of mine after the last couple firmwares and got her working well with 2.9 now it's forcing me to upgrade well if it makes me lose it you're giving me a new one

Maybe, just maybe. If wifi is off by default on your device and you wait till your out in the field before turning it on?? Maybe if it doesn't connect to your home wifi, how would it know.

I simply desire CHOOSE what  app version and firmware work better for me. My best configuration is app 3.0.1 and firmware 1.7.0.9. Never had problems, why now i'm forced to upgrade? When all works fine, upgrade is not necessary.

I have the opposite problem: Here in Germany in my Playstore I only find the version 2.1.2 and I just startet my go-App to see the popup, but no message apeared. I have version 3.1.0 installed.

Uninstall the current version of Go, side download the version you want. Turn off the device's wifi before installing the new (older) version of Go, and don't turn the wifi back on where it might connect to the internet. Have not tested this, just thinking out loud. And you could still connect to the internet later, just make sure Go is forced closed beforehand.

Just uninstalled 3.1.3 and restarted, tried to load 2.9.1 from the sd card on my phone. When I opened 2.9.1 the update pop up was there staring at me. So no changes DJI is forcing the update.

Nail in the coffin for me.  NEVER again will I spend a dime on any DJI product.   Not long now before someone decides that class action is necessary to keep this company in check for using all of us that spend OUR money on a product only to be forced to become a beta tester, and then get denied warranty when something goes wrong because they do not have a development staff that is worth a penny.  Shame on you DJI.  Shame on you.

They are deffo running scared over the 3.1.2 fiasco or they would not have this FORCED upgrade.

As I mentioned in your double post, 3.1.4 was released for iOS on Feb. 4.

Upgraded to Android 3.1.3; connection checks are good for video and C2, camera view is good, Here Map is lackluster, previous settings and flights are still on my device.  As soon as the flight battery is charged I'm going to fly it.

BTW; I did not uninstall my previous GO APP version which was 3.0.1 with Firmware 1.8.10

But when in installed 2.9.1, I bet your device have internet service, right? Either by cell service or wifi?

Negative ghost rider. I used my old phone first no cell service and wifi off. I had 2.9.1 saved on the micro sd. When I opened it after installation it showed the update message again.

This phone once has some version of Go, and the update message had display once before? Besides just now?

Flew for about half a battery on the GO APP 3.1.3 without problems nor stay messages about interference ETC.  Now that I have actually looked at the "Here Maps" I can see that they are not as good as the Google maps but they are fine enough for what I do.  The Home Point set and stayed as we all expect it to do.  I did not perform a RTH because I was in too good of a mood to wreck it with a problem.

Lol sometimes I have a white screen on my map.

As soon as you allow your device to connect to the internet the Go App will stop working if you dont have the latest version installed .
You get a box with a message saying" Your app must be updated to the latest version" and the app wont let you do anything else without updating.You can not even close the app without updating you have to force close it.
If they can offer a guarantee that the latest version will work perfectly with no home point , lost connection or laggy video issues then OK upgrade me but if this is going to be another mass BETA testing by the faithful DJI owners then Litchi and Yuneec look like they might get a rush of new customers.

I've performed all the updates with good results so far. AC came home. MY HOME!

Haven't checked out distance yet.

So far, no surprises.

HA! Tried this yesterday.  Uninstalled 2.9.1, disabled wifi & cellular, side loaded 2.9.1.  It needed a login from the homeland to be able to open.  In other words, you need internet to connect, and then it requires the update again.  I guess they figured this out already.  If you figure this out, please let me know.

Went flying Friday morning. No problems
A few hours later went flying again and the. App stopper DJI injected appeared and stopped the app from working.
I had updates manually stopped in Google also.
I finally went flying again for about 20 min. Did not go too far. Kinda leery about doing that right now
Flight went smooth.
I had the Google symbol on my map location on the screen, but I did have have a map cached at the time.
I hope it stays Google and not the substitute they are trying push out.

I flew my P3 Standard with Argtek 1.83km distance on 3.1.3 app today and let it RTH. All good.

I have the DBS mod installed, I don't want it out my my sight until the masses deem it safe

Why don't you fly it out of sight and let us know then?    Once you mod your drone you don't have warranty anyways.

My modified P3S works fine. had it since 26 January 2016 and done 89 flights aready.

i've got the same message when open the 3.0.1 app. my question is (apart from all posts here).. it is SAFE?

The RTH is working properly?

Will keep an eye on this post for now (i'm unable to fly due the bad weather)
