Hi guys,

I was wondering if gimbal calibration would be necessary every time I put Polarpro filters on, so I had them weighted this morning:
ND8  - 3.98gND16 - 4.07g
Stock UV cover on P4P+ - 2.31g


So, I am a bit apprehensive now, because I can definitely imagine that with the ND filters being about 70% heavier than the stock UV cover the gimbal's operation may be affected.

Can anybody weight the original ND filters sold by DJI for P4P?

the dji ND filters are as follows ND4 = 3 g /  0.1oz
the ND 8 = 3g / 0.1 oz   ND 16 = 3G / 0.1 OZ
SO the PP filters do weigh a little more which means i would do a gimbal cal just to be on the safe side. it doesn't take that long to do it. Happy flying !

even the smallest wind guest, will put more weight pressure on your gimbal than 3grams , so don't worry.

I'm using them no need for extra calibration there great..

No I only used them yesterday, no problem with gimbal overheating.

Hi Grizz1, I'm not an expert on filters, but these PP give excellent results and I have had no problems with fitting weight , so if your asking would I recommend, answer is yes.

I haven't noticed any gimbal over heating when I fly with mine on, however, the gimbal will spazz out a bit for a couple of seconds in flight as if it were performing a gimbal cal.

Does anyone have issues with other brands? I seem to be having trouble getting calibration with some cheaper ebay ones
