You know, I don't quite understand how those maps look like this. While mine still has all the resolution it ever had.
Updated to iOS 3.1.5 too. What about the other map choices then? Nothing any better?

I think iOS may be the key word here! There are no choices that I know of in android 3.1.3. It's HERE or nowhere.  Sure do miss 2.9.1 and Google maps.

OK, now I finally get it. The Here maps are in the Android app version.

No wonder this idea, has confused me over the last few months. No more questions, over my misunderstanding of it.

DJI, what have you done? That is a hortible looking map for even a basic drone application, with no detail. Please give the Android user, and there are many, a decently adequate map. Make it better.

There must be an appropriate solution to this dilemma. Please look into a way to correct this short coming.

Thanks for your intervention RHP but allow me to answer your plea as if i worked for DJI:

Would you please provide us more details about the issue!
What's your aircraft model and what mobile device you used to connect the RC?
Please check the firmware version and make sure it's up to date.
What mobile device you are using? please delete the APP and reinstall it.

In other words, HERE=HERE, GOOGLE=GONE for the poor step children of Android.
I did get it to work a bit better if i cache the area in the app before I fly but it is still out of data and less than half the resolution.

Ah, you seem to live near me!! My maps look just like that as well sometimes : (

With the most recent updates: DJI GO has switched from Google Maps to HERE Maps for Android users. Apple users are still enjoying the good ol' Apple Maps.

That said, if HERE maps isn't working for you, there is a very simple solution. You can simply and EASILY switch to using an Apple device. iPad Mini 4 costs only about $500. If you can afford a Phantom then iPad mini shouldn't be a problem for you.

PS: This is meant to be sarcastic and probably the way DJI is looking at it.

The thing is, many people here might have received their drone as a Dec.25th  gift...

So shelling out a $500.00 dollar bill is like pulling a ducks hind teeth...

DJI, bring back those maps! ;-)

ha ha. If DJI cannot get google maps back, I think they should reimburse $500 to every Android user in order to help them purchase an IOS device  ***Wishful Thinking****

Yes, I'm sorry. I have not understood the Here maps complaints from the get go of them being brought in.

Every time it was mentioned, I'd open the Go app "here" in fear. Now I know better. ;-)

Seeing that today, was a real eyesore and large disappointment. I have empathy.

Whatever maps GO 4.1.3 is using are actually more up-to-date than google for my area.  The resolution maybe less but they are newer.

Then it might be even better now. ;-)

You can select street map, satellite or hybrid in Android.

I am updated, yes but still got here maps.

If your satellite image is all clouds, you could at least switch to a street map to make it more usable.

I've posted my experience with maps before but didn't get any help. My problem is I don't see any maps. No street, no Hybrid, no Satellite, nothing. Maps worked fine on my setup when it was google. It would be nice if one of the mods could post up how I can go about getting help to fix this issue. I have a phantom 3 pro, using Samsung Tab 3 (SM-T710) Android ver 6.0.1, DJI GO ver 3.1.3. Phantom 3 is running the latest firmware. Thanks

Not sure how to take a screen shot from the app on my tablet. I guess I could take photo with my camera. I'll need to get my phantom 3 fired up so I can go into camera mode

I only know how my 2 iPads work, for screen shot capture.

I press the Home Button and Power Button simultaneously and you hear the shutter release sound affect.

Pics are saved to the photo album, like regular photos.

On androids screenshots are made by pushing the power button and the volume down, button at the same time.

Sorry my screen shot is more than 1000kb which is the upload limit so my upload didn't work. I tried to reduce the rez but I can't make it small enough

Ok figured out how to do the screen shot.

In the top right corner, to the right - next to the padlock icon, you see the circle with two overlapping squares?

Tap that icon... Check what's under each of those squares...
Tap once see what happens and again, to visit your third map view. ;-)

Nothing new happens. The background takes on a slightly different shade but the map is still blank.

Pinch squeeze it smaller, so the visible area increases. Perhaps you have it spread out too far.
Aside from that suggestion, I presently have no other advice.
Thankfully using an iOS device has been great, and the three of my flight maps, are still intact.

All the detail is right there.

Ok i happen to have a second s2 tablet with DJI GO loaded on it. Maps work fine on it so it looks like my problem is tablet related  (both tablets are identical). I guess I need to play around with the one that doesn't work and figure out the problem
