So I downloaded the DJI Assistant 2 for my Mac running Sierra 10.12.3 and am having issues connecting my Mavic to the Mac.  I launch the app, logged in for the first time, turned on my Mavic, connted the USB cable to the Mavic port and the other end to my mac, and nothing happens.

Anyone having similar issues, or suggestions?

Did the Mavic come with a USB cable as well, I foget since I have so many freaking cables here at my workshop.

Yes the Mavic comes with a micro USB cable to connect it to the computer.
It should connect without issue, make sure the USB cable is firmly pressed into the Mavic and it can take a minute or so until you get the connection notification in the Assistant2.

No dice, tried everything, even reinstalled the software, rebooted the mac.. make sure everything is tightly connected and waited for 5 min.

That's strange, I am on Sierra 10.12.3 same as you and it's working just fine.
Open the Assistant2 first then power up the Mavic and connect the cable.
You don;t even get the Camera Uploads wanting to open and transfer photos ?

Well when in doubt try a new usb cable.. seems like the one that came with mine is defective.

It's resolved now but im glad I have extra cables laying around

Not to tackle why the AEB 3 or 5 doesn't properly work.

Glad you got it sorted out.
As far as AEB, that too is working just fine for me.
You can even hear the shutter tone go off 3 or 5 times.
When you tap play it goes to the photos and it only shows one photo per shutter release, but when you tap on the photo it goes into the WEB photo and at the bottom of the screen there's a select tab and tap that and then it will show all the photos.

Where did you download it from?

I am using the same Sierra 10.12.3 and working just fine and make sure the drone is on.
