when my drone hit a log it was banking towards it. three propellers broke, one motor mount shattered. if you just barely touch the wall i guess guards would take over, but if you hit i doubt they could be of much help.

The prop guards make the Phantom even bigger. If you have a large space to fly sure. But flying outside is better, and much more fun.

Do you have a planned project or mission, that will require you to fly indoors?

IMO prop guards are a good idea inside.  Know you probably won't have GPS inside.

Make sure you turn off everything that might blow air.  Ceilings fans, heating, anything.  Any slight air movement will cause problems.

I thought that by fitting prop guards to the P4 the Object Avoidance was automatically disabled as the prop guards are within its field of view ?

Just watched your video, why is the camera footage jumpy?

Good point. That is certainly not a recent model Phantom, look at all the fish-eye distortion. May not even have a gimbal.

Agree, certainly does not look like later model phantom footage.

If you buy the expensive one the mavic can fly up to 12 minutes, so its probably not long enough

If flying indoors prop guards are a good idea. They will not only protect the props but also help protect furnishings. Prop guards will make your bird larger. If you plan on doing a lot of indoor flying get a Mavic and get the prop cages. I do not use prop guards on any of my drones and also do not fly indoors.

If flying indoors is needed, buy a Tiny Whoop...

They are small and very agile.
