On Monday there was another close call at an airport.
The famous Relic Hunter Indiana Jones ~ Star Wars personality Han Solo, actor Harrison Ford, while piloting his own vintage plane, passed over a 737.
The jet in question, a passenger jet was parked on the same runway Harrison Ford had been landing on. He had called out the right runway too. But landed on the taxi lane.

He has his own private jet pictured below.
image.jpeg

Also a $2.6M helicopter. Seen here.

With Harrison at the controls.

An FAA investigation is under way. Pheww, That was a close call.

Thankfully it wasn't another drone incident.

Glad to know he was successful, and no horrific collision happened.

Yes, "whip" it right... Then left! Haha

Crack it good with a snap of the cracker...

Made well, with nice pliable red Kangaroo hide, no doubt.

Yes, it was.

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Actor Harrison Ford was involved in a potentially serious plane incident on Monday in California as he was flying his private plane, a single engine Husky, NBC News reports.

Ford, 74, is a licensed pilot who collects vintage planes, NBC News said. He was told to land on a runway at John Wayne Airport, but mistakenly landed on a taxiway.

On the taxiway, Ford flew over an American Airlines plane with 110 passengers and six person crew members. The passenger plane, AA flight 1546, departed safely for Dallas minutes after Ford's landing.

"Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?" Ford asked air traffic control workers, NBC News learned.

Air traffic controllers told Ford that he had landed on a taxiway, which is a violation of Federal Aviation Administration safety rules, NBC News said.

The FAA told NBC News that controllers gave Ford the proper landing instructions and that he read them back.

The FAA is investigating the incident. Ford could receive a simple warning letter or have his pilot's license suspended, NBC News said.

Previous incidents
Ford has been involved in a series of crashes and near-misses while flying aircraft, NBC News said.

In 2015 he crash-landed a World War II-era airplane on a Santa Monica golf course after the engine failed, suffering a broken arm and minor head injuries.

He also crash-landed a helicopter in 1999 during a flight lesson in Ventura County, California. And in 2000, Ford's six-seater Beechcraft Bonanza scraped the runway during an emergency landing at Nebraska's Lincoln Municipal Airport.

But Ford is revered as an excellent pilot in aviation circles. He was inducted as a Living Legend of Aviation.

A witness to Ford's 2015 Santa Monica crash told NBC News that Ford "saved several lives" by rerouting his crash landing to the Penmar Golf Course to avoid a tract of suburban homes.

NBC News reached out to Ford's representatives for comment, but did not immediately receive a formal response.

Devo – Whip It Lyrics
Crack that whip
Give the past the slip
Step on a crack
Break your momma's back

When a problem comes along you must whip it
Before the cream sits out too long you must whip it
When something's going wrong you must whip it

Now whip it into shape
Shape it up
Get straight
Go forward
Move ahead
Try to detect it
It's not too late to whip it
Whip it good

When a good time turns around you must whip it
You will never live it down unless you whip it
No one gets their way until they whip it
I say whip it whip it good
I say whip it whip it good

Crack that whip
Give the past the slip
Step on a crack
Break your momma's back

When a problem comes along you must whip it
Before the cream sits out too long you must whip it
When something's going wrong you must whip it

Now whip it into shape
Shape it up
Get straight
Go forward
Move ahead
Try to detect it
It's not too late to whip it into shape
Shape it up
Get straight
Go forward
Move ahead
Try to detect it
It's not too late to whip it
Whip it good

That's a good song. Always enjoyed listening to it, and the video too.

Yes, the grey hair, has pretty well dominanated now.

Thankfully though, mine is still intact on top. Haha

I was just in conversation with an old buddy who lives in California. I had given him a heads up yesterday of a fantastic concert coming his way soon. Besides the fact that he has been friends with both Edgar Winter and Steve Morse of Deep Purple for some time now.
Edgar, visiting Wayne at his home with their boys... I have huge envy...

These are my own private pics and not to be posted anywhere else on the web, thanks guys.. ;-)

I had the pleasure to meet Ritchie Blackmore the first lead guitar player, when the original Deep Purple played here many years ago,..
If you're in or near either of the areas, perhaps one of these shows would interest you as well. ;-)

Ok...I got me a bad case of hair envy!!!!! I served two tours in the Golf War and was subjected to some sort of agent. A bounch of us guys lost hair over it, a bunch of us died. Thank God I was apart of the bunch who lost hair!!! I guess the California smog built my immunities up to survive whatever we came into contact with.

I know you do, 500 post a day make RedHotPoker play.

Respectfully, You can't silence a loud mouth. You should know that personally. ;-)

Forum participation is an individual's choice. You can skulk and lurk, while you stay in the background or jump in feet or head first and share your experience, info, kind words, thoughtful feelings. Or play coy and remain in the darkness of the void.

Completely up to you, how you utilize your internet time. By the way, DJI drones aren't my only love or interest and certainly not the only RC forum which I frequent. As well I have 459 friends on another popular forum of a completely different kind, where I spend my valuable unreplaceable time with. And numerous others as well.
I have many other hobbies aside from RC modeling. There are archery/bowhunting, SpYder/Motorsport websites, my leather tooling work valued time sites, a couple of Yamaha Motif XF8 music forums, not to mention several regular dslr photography forums that also take time to be a small part of. So you see if you want to be deeply involved, you may do so. Or not, that's up to you. Not for me or anyone to suggest where or how you visit these websites. Likewise my friend, give your all, or be shy and elusive. My ScentLoc Camouflage is rarely used, except for my stalking prey. Otherwise preferring to keep myself pretty transparent but quite visible all at the same time. Learning, sharing, helping others, being apparent.

What is your excuse for being here? Just killing time, perhaps. Disinterested in much of the fun we share while here. Life is short, and it's only here & now, for a blink of an eye in real time, why not enjoy it fully? Get in there and give your all. Or atrophy . . .

Did you have a question or concern with your flight kit, Phantom, RC, intelligent flight battery packs?

Perhaps you only want some friendly banter... Having these discussions is all good.
Tell all or be a shrinking violet. ;-)

Have a wonderful day, and thank you, for being even a fraction of the good intentioned folks we see here on a very regular basis. Your input on here is certainly highly appreciated and Definately wanted.

Thanks too for the honourable opportunity to share with you my thoughts about your valid concerns.

Good stuff. Smiles are free, please give them often. ;-)

What time is it? After watching the Donald press conference, I missed my lunch call.

The bell rang, but I never responded with hungry eyes. So now I need to replenish the belly food basket.

Did you know that 1/4 of everything you eat, feeds the never resting brain?

Yes, it takes plenty of nutrition to be on top of your game. So don't give it the chips and sodapop carbonated water diet. Haha

Enjoy your vitamins and minerals naturally. ;-)

Eat up... Ha

I'm the same and it wasn't agent orange.  And the myth that baldness skips a generation is false, I never saw my old man with hair either

Funny enough, an interesting thing about our hereditary where we get our hair genes is from the mothers side.

My father was as bald as a shiny pool cue ball. But yet my dear mother had lovely curly hair, just as my grandmother, before her. No wonder I could sport a fine Afro hairdo back in my hippie days. ;-)

Don't blame your extra long forehead on your daddy. ;-)
But alternatively "Hair Club For Men" or rogaine. Haha

Ha, I'd sooner buy a new phantom than spend any money whatsoever on my lack of hair.  The wife uses a shaver on it every couple of weeks and we call it good.  Jump out of the shower and it's dry in 30 seconds, so I don't mind it anymore.  Oddly, I do use whatever shampoo is in the shower and it's probably some expensive salon stuff my wife gets from her hairdresser.

Man, you've got to try the brand that contains caviar...

https://www.alternahaircare.com
But a bottle can run you the same price as a flight pack. ;-)

Yes, something fishy is going on with my scalp... Hahahaha
