is it possible to power a RED EPIC-X via P-Tap connetor on RONIN?

That is a no no.

The P-Tap only support 3A, (36w) and the Red Epic needs at least 60w of power

oh no.. is there a chance of an upgrade in near future?
would be more than phenomenal!!! also if you are going up in the air with this setup

Actually the P-Tap port now could provide 12V and most of our friends used it for Wireless focus system~

and they claim it can power the red. whats the deal here?

The standard D-tap ports on the Ronin (below the camera) are only able to deliver 3A.
So you'll get: 12v x 3A = 36W
Not enough for the Red, tho probably fine for smaller cameras like the Sony A7s.

The new Battery Power Distributer can deliver up to 8A.
So you'll get: 12v x 8A = 96W
Enough to power pretty much any camera that the Ronin can carry.

Yes.
With the Ronin-M battery power distributor, the Ronin-M red power cable can be used to power the Red camera.
