Within 8 weeks I am traveling to Iceland by plane. I am looking forward to this trip, but my concerns are about my Inspire 2. How on earth can I safely travel with this amazing drone and I mean safely for my drone. I found thanks to you guys beneath cases, but maybe there are other or even better cases. I found some peli cases, but the don't have custom fit cases. I don't feel like cutting the inner stuff and hoping that is being ok for a safe journey! The Inspire 2 is to big for a carry-on luggage, so it must be checked in.

I just bought the hardshell case for inspire 1 & 2 backpack.
The case that comes with the inspire 2 fits inside quite well.
With a little bit of added foam underneath it will not move around.

I use the Peli 1640.  The standard box is placed inside perfect and the top has plenty of room for extra things.

I bought a Peli 1640. The nice thing about this case is, that it fits the original DJI case. So the original DJI case just slides in the outer foam ring. Now I can lift the lit of the DJI case, while the bottom remains in the Peli. This could be a deal breaker for others to. I bought the case for around €360,- ($380,-).  

Lowpro has sweet backpack for the inspires now.

Not crazy about the backpack as it has too much flex for the glued and fragile arms and feet of the Inspire 2.  If someone sits on it or drops a corner of the backpack, that might be all she wrote.  I'd go for a hard case any day over a soft one.

Has anybody broken there inspire 2 while having it in a backpack?

I have a similarsetup..  Its a dual purpose travel gear.  A GPC backpack inside a Pelican 1640 case.
The Pelican is for airline travel and the GPC backpack is when im out in areas where the shell case will not work.  I remove the middle foam fom the peli but surround theBackpack with foam on sides, top and bottom.   You will be in situations where you will have to sherpa the backpack but its better than lugging the peli.
