Lightbridge 2 Firmware update fails

I upgraded the firmware on the ground system to the latest version because it wasn't connecting with the air system. However, the air system is currently running V1.1.40 and I am trying to upgrade the firmware to V1.1.50. I have used the second latest and the latest version of DJI Assistant 2. The Assistant detects the air system fine but when I try to upgrade it, the download bar flashes briefly to 100% (sometimes can't even see this happen) and then says Update Failed and shows a 0% bar. All the connections are fine and the air system is powered one as normal. Screenshot of the error is below.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this, please help. Really need to be able to use the LB2 and it hasn't worked yet.

From what it looks like, you're running Windows 10, correct? Have you already tried either reinstalling the latest Assistant 2 or trying a different computer?

Im Having the same issue. I have reinstalled Dji Assistant 2 just to make sure and still the same.

I got one guy on the chat who wasn't very helpful and told me I have to contact dji support by mail to send my LB2 back!!!!! for an update who doesn't work????

Hi,
try a Windows 7 computer.
Recently I bought a new computer and because I am reading about problems I took win7 again. Assistant 2 works nicely with A3, N3 and LB2 air.
I used Assistant 2 version 1.0.9-2 from the A3/N3 website.
Uninstall the old versions first.
Update TX via Go-app.

I am using Windows 10...luckily I have a Windows 7 machine still sitting around though...I'll try it today. This should work with Windows 10 though...its been out since July of 2015!

@DJI-Jamie I just tried updating with 3 different computers. Two windows 10 (one a desktop the other a laptop) Tried to update via wifi and being hard wired in to the internet. Then I tried it on a third machine running Windows 7 Professional. All gave the same results reported by "theshwin" at the top of this post. The update fails instantly. All were brand new clean installs from the DJI site of the DJI Assistant 2. LB2 unit is brand new as well.

On my windows 7 system I had to uninstall the assistant I was using and reinstall the newest version from http://www.dji.com/matrice600-pro/info#downloads  
the firmware update went smooth after that.  Of course I don't know if this is helpful on a windows 10 system.

Did you make sure to do a full uninstall of your previous DJI assistant programs?  It may be a dumb question but I forgot that step the first time around and it made all the difference.

I didn't have any DJI software on two of them. On the third I only have A2 assistant.

I haven't been able to try the fixes suggested above yet, but the failure was instantaneous (it never progressed past 0%).

You may want to look into any firewalls you may have on the computer. Not all domestic firewalls like Chinese servers, so you may want to try check whether it's being blocked from downloading.

I disabled my firewall and antivirus and got the same response. Instant download failure.

At this point, this could be an issue with the LB2 air unit itself and being able to take the update. If all the other components can update  besides the air unit, then you could send in the air unit for service to address this once and for all.

I fly with S1000+ does it work too? I program is it the same for M600 and S1000?

This is the version 1.0.9-2, that you can't find on the lightbridge 2 page.

Hi,

When going in the DJI Assistant I don't see a tab to go to LB2 anymore. I can only go to the M600 Pro. So I can't even see if LB2 needs an update.
I just updated the rest (i.e. downgraded firmware for M600pro) and also tried re-installing DJI Assistant. I'm using Matrice 600pro, LB2 master + slave, A3, Ronin MX+SRW

Which Assistant 2 version are you currently running? Did you notice this happening after updating the firmware, updating the Assistant version, or is this more random?
