Anybody know where we should post comments on the P3 4K? Seems to be the black sheep of the P3 family.

My next question is regarding updates. Does the P3 4K have its own update or do I use the P3 standard updates?

If had a lot of problems with thyis particular drone and I want to make sure I get it right.

I bought one of the Phantom 3 4K after being offered a deal I couldn't pass up. I have yet to fly it. Do you mind sharing what types of problems you have had?

P3 4K has its own firmware, which is not the same as P3S firmware.
The latest version is  v1.5.40 , you can check the information on "About" page through dji go app with all connected properly.

I had constant mid flight compass errors and GPS failures. It would switch to ATTI mode and I was still able  to land safely. After a month of this I contacted DJI via the chat line. They had me do a few things to the drone and said it would fix the problem. I had one good test flight

I even purchased a meter to detect for electrical and magnetic interference in the area because no matter where I flew the P3 4K, it almost always said there was some sort of interference when there was none. DJI Blamed the crash on operator error, but I had insurance so it didn't argue with them.  I believe there was a problem with the drone. I decided to purchase a P3Pro as well before the incident because I was not entirely happy with the way the P3 4K was performing. The P3 Pro was defective right out of the box. They were very good about fixing though it and I am extremely happy with it. I'm sure the P3 4K will be great now that its fixed as well. Should have it in a week.

Interesting. I have a bunch of Drones beginning with the original Phantom up to an Inspire and everything in between. The Phantom 3 Pro is absolutely a good one, I have a few Phantom 3 Advanced also that are excellent. Built like tanks. I guess I need to get the Phantom 3 4K out and test it. I bought it when a dealer was going out of business for about half price, so the parts are worth what I paid for the Drone if it came to that.

I looked at the fatal flight om www.phantomhelp.com It showed some interesting data. I don't know how to save the data to share though.

Unfortunately, if you fly you will crash. If you fly like me you will crash more often. I do not recommend it unless you want to spend countless amounts of money on new Drones or repairs. That's why I keep extras on hand.

There was no doubt that there was an issue with the drone. The data shows it. I have a spare and paid for DJI care so money is not the issue. Understanding the problem is.

That is insane. You were seeing these error warnings in your DJI GO App, Right?

This sounds like compass error.  
Just changed the compass and no error after that.

Question,
My p34k controller ( just recieved it ) only has a mini port and my android also only has a mini port. Where the heck do I find a mini to mini cable ?
