Hi, since updating to .500 I'm getting ultrasound module error messages. Do we know if this is a genuine fault??

What version did you have before updating to .500?
I think it was version .400 that DJI integrated some additional check for the ultrasound sensors, when a problem is detected you will have the message in your screen.

Yes I had .400 but didn't seem to have any issues with that. As soon as .500 was installed I get the US error. Over on mavic pilots forum this is quite a big problem with many reports of this issue. I just want to know if I have to send back.. again.

If you contact DJI with an email, they probably will start to ask to refresh the software and then load defaults in DJI assistant.
Calibration of systems that could affect the working of the ultra sound module.
In case it is not solvable with software it does need to be send back.

Hopefully you can solve this you're own, i think it is really strange to have this error immediately after updating. Good luck

I have some problem two days  after upgrade Fw from 400 to 500,  

I'll help to report this to designated team.

Yes the problem was immediately after upgrade and with old DJI Go only.... did not exist

Could you please export the flight data via DJI Assistant then upload it to dropbox and send me the link?
I'll forward the data to our engineers for review.
Besides, how often did the ultrasound module error occur?

HI there

I also got this error after upgrading to .400 firmware.
It occurs every time after starting the motors.
Nothing covering the ultrasound module and I've tried on different surfaces.
Did all the calibrations etc.

However it seems to be working still as it correctly displays the VPS height when i pick it up etc, which I'm assuming comes from the ultrasound module.

I reverted back to the previous version .200 and all fine. So I'm staying on that until I can find out if it really is a hardware issue. The Mavic seems 100% fine to me so don't want to upgrade the firmware.

It's probably the hardware issue.

I just flew my Mavic after a short test run in the yard the day i received it. I thought it strange how the Mavic would not hover in one spot.
Immediately i got the message Ultrasound module error....

I am running up to date software on iPhone 6S.

Also i tried the video test (recording a video of the Mavic on a table, to hear if there is a sound) and the Mavic was silent.

I have also noticed this error on my brand new Mavic Platinum, although i am not sure if this is a genuine error as it seems to only happen when i exit the simulator and switch to normal flying (although i haven't taken it outside for a proper flight yet, all my test flights indoors have been less than 3 mins!)

I can hear the US working if i record a video using my iPhone in front of the Mavic, but i will be able to confirm this weekend weather permitting if there truly is a hardware error...
